  1. I agree with you. They're not trading him. Just because they want to bring McCann back doesn't mean They're moving Grandal. Or They're still going to be able to meet Mccann's asking price. Like bmags said earlier its going to be a rough offseason - Especially at catcher.
  2. That is so awesome!. Sometimes I'm really proud to be a sox fan.
  3. Absolutely with Vaughn and Springer added to that lineup. That's scary for sure top lineups! The pitching concerns me though. But the Sox are good at developing bullpen pieces. And if Crochet stays in the bullpen that's some uncomfortable abs for the opponent facing him. Giolito, Stroman, Keuchel, Dunning, Cease, and Kopech later.
  4. So Quezada that Baseball America has us targeting is he part of the group of names we already have for the period beginning in January? Or is he new In addition to those names?
  5. I still think it's Hinch. Especially after some of the tweets from Steve Stone over the last few days and his specific denials of everyone but Hinch (or LaRussa too). Plus, I think Steve is in the know whether his source are whitesox people or Hinch himself. And Keuchel seems to be pretty excited too.
  6. And yet another reason Hinch should be the choice. Does he have any connections to starting pitching that he could talk into coming to Chicago?
  7. This right here. This terrifies me. He's a HOF manager thinking about coming out of retirement to manage again. (Btw, is this the first time a HOF manager would be reinstated and manage again?) Wouldn't it be a slap in the face to interview him and not hire him? I feel our only hope is TLR is just not interested in coming back to manage again. Might take the interview but hopefully he turns us down.
  8. I can't believe Rick Hahn would be ok with this.
  9. He was 72 win they won the pennant. He was there at age 72, 73, and 74 years. He's 89 now. Maybe the sox will talk to him? Lol
  10. Yeah, I saw that. It doesn't surprise me about Cora. He seems to be the dirt bag with the whole sign cheating scandal. Also sounds like Red Sox may rehire him. Idk. They're not serious about LaRussa right? He's 76. Enjoy your retirement.
  11. Charlie Hough? I know he's not random or obscure. And not a AAAA Sox player either. But he's got the Knuckles.
  12. The Cubs don't have the talents of the Sodfather on their side.
  13. Me too. Dunning is the man. Live or play another day. We'll roll behind Dunning
  14. Yes they have looked good. They're not the sure outs that they were 3 weeks ago.
  15. Internally I think they do. Its just not public. All of their calls are scrutinized by their superiors. Yes that would embarrass them and would love to see those stats! Would love for it to be public.
  16. And we didn't need Eloy's bat today. He was able to rest his ankle.
  17. I'm so proud of these guys! And I'm proud to be a sox fan!
  18. I like how you're thinking! TA is the table setter. He's going to get us rolling!
  19. This bullpen is absolutely the strength of this team. And match that up with the bats waking up against the cubs. Watch out! Let's go Sox!!!
  20. Has RR announced who's getting the start in tomorrow's game? Edit: I see Cease got the call.
  21. Yeah and I'm done with the Mazara experiment. I know he got on base tonight. But He doesn't do anything for this team. From here on out I start Engel everyday in right. Get him ready for the playoffs. Your lineup is better with him. Your defense is better with him.
  22. Yes there are many holes in this lineup right now.
