QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 08:32 AM) I agree. But this subject has been beat to death. I think we were spoiled with the action early in the off season, and now we expect something to happen! Exactly, which i think, if anything, will be 1 more trade midway through ST. We just need some actual baseball to talk about already!

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 08:21 AM) If you just include the 13 NFLN Thursday night games, no team appeared more than once. If you add in the two NBC Thursday night games, DEN and BAL each appeared twice. SD did end up on NFLN twice, but one of those was a Sunday afternoon game that got pushed back to Sunday night and moved from CBS to NFLN because of baseball playoffs in Oakland. I see what you're saying, forgot about that delayed game. Well I guess we'll see how the schedules play out this coming year. -
Steph Curry went off on them, Bulls have the heart but man once they took Noah away on the PNR in that 2nd quarter the turnovers began to pile up and Curry was racking up his points with 22 in the first half and GS coasted to a W last night. and Taj has to start the rest of the way, Boozer suddenly has a "tweaked calf"..c'mon....

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 06:34 AM) It's annoying that the Blues have had 3 games in hand for seemingly months now. Although their March will probably be tougher. Win one for KANER tonight. Yea it's very annoying they have the schedules like that but I think with a tough March we'll see just how good the blues truly are, +1 for the Kaner add.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 07:12 AM) Well that's not true since Denver was the only team on more than once on Thursday night. Wasn't that the Chargers who had more than 1 Thursday night game? not to mention I'm usually not too hyped about the Bills vs Browns. -
Oshie is beasting right now for the blues, another game winner last night. That being said, Hawks can go get this one tonight and enter the break on a high note.

I'm pretty much ready for a cookout now. 2 degrees out? F*** it.

maybe dan gilbert should fire himself.

The Sox need to play to their strength, take pitching at #3, you can never have enough pitching. Alot can change from here till June but I really hope they have their mindset on finding an ace that can be special with Sale and Q.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:52 PM) I don't think it'll do much to improve the matchups since every team has to play in prime time at least 1 time. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:52 PM) Until the teams get a bye week before the Thursday night game, it's gonna be a crappy game every time. And they won't force a team to have more than one Thursday night game, so s***ty teams have to be included too. This is true, but I guess I'm kinda hoping CBS puts it's hands under the table to try and steal say a couple Monday Night Games, that way we have a more balanced lineup as opposed to completely tuning out thursday night fooball by week 6 which is what i did. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:47 PM) Thursday games to CBS Maybe now we won't see so many crappy games on Thursday, nothing against the bengals but they're boring as hell to watch and everytime i tuned into a thursday night game they were either in it or advertised for next thursdays match up.wth? -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 6, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) The Cubs are using something like 10 throwbacks this year for the 100th anniversary of their garbage dump. I saw that, worst part is at least 3 of those look like BP/ST jerseys.

All the choices I've read are awesome, I just think they should designate 1 game every season for each of our most popular seasons (83,59,etc and no more than 5 different unis) and that way we get a uni(and for some, successful season)history reminder every year. I think the reason they don't do that though is because they designate 1 uni all year so they can sell as many as they can all season long.

Thank you good sir!

They shoulda had Jake Peavy perform at halftime.

QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 02:17 PM) Wow, this by totally reminds of the Pied Piper! Only one person questioned his source, the rest just followed right along. They're Cub fans.False sense of security is the name of the game on the northside.

QUOTE (dayan024 @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 01:39 PM) David Kaplan @thekapman 2h I'm looking forward to having White Sox general manager Rick Hahn in studio on Tuesday on sports talk live! @sportstalkchi Expand Why is Hahn doing tv when he should be on the phone with Tanaka agent trying to get him to sign? I think Hahn,KW,and even JR have said and done all they can to sway this guy to come here

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 10:58 AM) I believe Levine also tweeted that having a big Japanese-American community would be important for where they choose. If so, then Tanaka will be signing with the Dodgers. I don't get why Levine thinks it's such a big deal that the Cubs offered a "real contract". Levine says a lot of common knowledge, generalized things to TRY to justify him being called an "insider".

Sox re-sign Gordo and De Aza 1 year each

Let's say bacon does have a career year (which i doubt myself), do you try and lock him up to a multi-year deal? -
I was pretty mad when we traded Rowand to Philly for Thome in midst of a WS honeymoon.

QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jan 18, 2014 -> 08:29 AM) Okay, this is weird and probably means nothing, but my email in-box this morning from White Sox.com had a bunch of new items to buy. The usual stuff, coats, a Luis Aparicio collage, a Jason Castro collage - A JASON CASTRO collage? How weird is that? I know it's premature, but I don't really care for acquiring Castro much, especially if it's for Quintana. Heck, I'd have a hard time giving away Johnson cuz he seems poised to be a good #3.

I'm waiting for Chris Broussard to confirm the teams in play for Tanaka through his multiple sources..

QUOTE (elwood5892 @ Jan 17, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) If I would venture a guess I would say the Yankees had a bad meeting. The author of the tweet can be dropping a hint when saying the team "bombed" the meetings. The Yankees are the Bronx Bombers. I honestly can't see the Yankees bombing only because they're so desperate for Tanaka that it would be nothing short of a catastrophe for them, they need Tanaka more than anybody. If I had to place my money on it I think it was the dodgers, they probably were busy with K-shaw and half assed the meeting but let him know they're gonna splurge cash for him but maybe...JUST MAYBE...Tanaka wasn't too happy about it.
