who else though? against a lefty it would have been nice for Robert to leadoff and hit Engel 2nd. the bottom 4 of todays lineup are less than ideal against a lefty
Also need to invest in the secondary. OT, CB, WR should be heavy the next couple years. also if Fields is the real deal take Pace's( or his replacement) trading abilities away for a couple years unless it's to trade down lol
I guess we'll see where they are in 3 weeks, the great ones transcend O-line and if this kid is the real deal he'll do the same. Of course we all want him behind an elite O-line but look around the league, there aren't very many of those.
What 3rd stringer will be playing opening night? there's still 3+ weeks left.
4.4 helps alot of things, his downfield accuracy and arm are 2 of his biggest strengths. He will only get more comfortable with the playbook by actually playing.
The O-line will always have issues, injuries will always be there unless you're incredibly lucky. I agree it's not the end of the world if Fields doesn't start but to act like we need an elite O-line before he steps on the field is crazy to me. There's only so much he can learn from the sidelines and holding a clipboard. Kid has played in some huge games the past couple years and by all means looks ready to make the jump. I just don't believe starting him week 1 or week 8 will make any difference. The kid needs reps with the best players on the team in real games to catch up to the speed of the game. Plus running 4.4 helps any O-Line substantially. I couldn't care less about where the Bears end up this year as long as Field is getting acclimated.
