  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 20, 2014 -> 04:55 PM) lol. For all of those who really care about having the right corporate name on their tongue... I live ten minutes from the building and drive by it on a regular basis. I'd be remiss if I used the wrong name. --Captain Decker
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 20, 2014 -> 04:26 PM) Maybe they just like how good he plays at Conseco field house. It's Banker's Life Fieldhouse. --Captain Decker
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present Tom Crean's greatest hits! --Captain Decker
  4. QUOTE (farmteam @ Feb 19, 2014 -> 08:41 PM) Way for BC to keep with it even in OT. Just Wichita State left. And then there was one. --Captain Decker
  5. Here's an excellent article on Duke freshman Jabari Parker. --Captain Decker
  6. Julius Randle- 25 points (6-7 FG; 13-14 FT), 13 rebounds- just ran over Ole' Miss. As inconsistent and disappointing as Kentucky has been, I wouldn't want to play them in March. --Captain Decker
  7. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 18, 2014 -> 06:26 PM) He'd easily land a max deal. Most people recognize that he's just not used to half his potential in Miami. The thing is, he seems like he's okay with that and wants to stay in Miami. Does that surprise you? He's won two championships playing there. --Captain Decker
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 18, 2014 -> 03:42 PM) That would've been terrible if it happened during the game. Fire Crean. --Captain Decker
  9. #23 turns fifty one today. Happy Birthday! --Captain Decker
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2014 -> 12:28 PM) Hardaway jr. has actually been the lone bright spot for the natural disaster that is the knicks. And to be fair, I can remember Brian saying long before last night that he wished the Bulls had taken Hardaway. Which merely qualifies him for Tallest Midget status. I think Hardaway will be a solid player, but it's not as though his presence would make the Bulls significantly better than they are. --Captain Decker
  11. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 14, 2014 -> 04:14 PM) Hammered Perea. Hammered Misdemeanor-Perea --Captain Decker
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 13, 2014 -> 09:18 AM) Derrick Rose, idiot who doesn't learn from anything... Chris De Luca ‏@ChrisDeLuca 1h Derrick Rose not closing door on return to #Bulls this season http://bit.ly/LVVUWi This message has been paid for by Reggie Rose Thinks He's Important Incorporated. --Captain Decker
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 11:59 PM) Luol has been highly overrated these past few years. He's a good, not great player. I have no idea why he made the all-star team last year. I'd guess the coaches were impressed with his and Noah's ability to keep the Bulls afloat without Derrick Rose. --Captain Decker
  14. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 08:00 PM) Are you saying Melo isn't a superstar? Or am I missing something here? That's precisely what I'm saying. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 08:10 PM) He's saying Carmelo isn't a superstar. And he's right. But who the f*** cares. He'd be the best player we've had here since you know who. Carmelo+legitimate coach+legitimate cast could very well equal out to superstar. I agree. Carmelo Anthony is a tremendous one-on-one player. But he does not contribute enough in other facets of the game (though his rebounding has improved) to make his teammates better. Superstar is an overused term that people are quick to apply to anyone who can score the basketball. But dominance at the professional level is about more than merely putting the ball in the basket, as most NBA players were among the leading scorers on their teams in high school or college or both. Be that as it may, Carmelo Anthony would give the Bulls a viable scoring option in the fourth quarter, something they've not had since Michael Jordan. Derrick Rose had his moments but was rendered ineffective against bigger defenders. Anthony can get his shot off against virtually any player in the league. --Captain Decker
  15. Julius Randle records his twelfth double-double of the season (12 points-12 rebounds) as Kentucky defeats Auburn. I've not been impressed with Kentucky's freshmen. James Young is inconsistent, and the Harrison twins are extraordinarily stupid. But Julius Randle looks like he's going to be a good NBA player. He has weaknesses he must address, but his rebounding, toughness and leadership will make him a valuable asset to any NBA team. --Captain Decker
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 07:30 PM) Ooooooh, Decker Unit goes for the burn! Touche. --Captain Decker
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 05:21 PM) These rumors are fun and all but this is the Chicago Bulls, there will be no trading for or signing a superstar. Particularly when said trade discussions don't involve one. --Captain Decker
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) Well, that's entirely different. Bynum was putting up trips during actual games with the Lakers and got benched for it. This was just goofing around in practice (not to minimize, just to explain that they're quite different scenarios). Different situations, but the principle players are the same (Bynum and Brown). Without knowing exactly what happened in practice that day, I'd guess Brown probably decided he'd seen enough of Bynum for one lifetime. --Captain Decker
  19. ^Interesting. The irony of the situation described in that article is that it's actually happened before (note who's on the sidelines for the Lakers). Another followed that one a few weeks later. --Captain Decker
  20. QUOTE (kevo880 @ Feb 12, 2014 -> 03:55 PM) He's turned into such a headcase. Not too long ago he was going to be the next "big thing" in LA. There have always been signs of his immaturity, but he's gotten worse as he's spent more and more time away from basketball due to injury. I can understand the theory behind Indiana signing him, as they keep him away from Miami in the event that he decides he wants to play basketball (seriously) again. But they're in danger of repeating the disaster that was Ron Artest: Bynum may be even more difficult to control than Metta World Peace. --Captain Decker
  21. More Cleveland Cavaliers news for anyone who's interested. It seems that the reason for Andrew Bynum's suspension has been leaked. I'm surprised the Pacers wanted him, though I think they signed him so that Miami wouldn't. --Captain Decker
  22. With the first pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Bill Self from Kansas University. --Captain Decker
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 11, 2014 -> 07:57 PM) Nice to see Anthony Bennett playing a little better. Unlike guys like Kwame and Bargnani, I think there's legitimate talent there. I agree. He has several areas in which he needs to improve but has the potential to be a much better player than he's shown to this point. His lack of conditioning is a problem- as are his exercise-induced asthma and obstructive sleep apnea- but he's not blame for Cleveland's decision to select him as the number-one overall pick. The Cavaliers front-office is a disaster. Bennett playing better doesn't change that. --Captain Decker
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 10, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) The Sixers are at it again! Golden State has too many weapons. --Captain Decker
