Looks like a pretty good crowd, is it a give away day? -
Something happened to the team after TLR was hired, it might have been the Mercedes incident but after the 2022 All Star break things starting going south as the team went from very good to mediocre to one of the worst Sox teams in history. The team played hard for Renteria and we will always wonder what the results would have been if JR hadn’t canned Ricky. In one respect Grifol is a victim of circumstances but his managing last year was absolutely horrible and he is very unlikable, the man should have never been hired in the first place.
-
Yep, that’s what they said.

Unfortunately the only person who can fire JR is JR. I’ve detested this the man since 1982 when they brought in Sportsvision and you needed a special antenna to pick up the games, what a fiasco and how stupid as the Cubs were televising all of their games on free TV on WGN. JR and EE showed what kind of scum they were when they were interviewed after the Sox clinched the 1983 Western Division and they defamed Harry Caray, Harry knew what he was dealing with those 2 and wanted no part of them as he bolted to the Cubs in 1982. Just about every move JR and company has made in his 43 years of Sox ownership has alienated Sox fans and some wonder why Chicago is a Cub town by at least a 60-40 margin.

I hate the manager more, talk about unlikable, the guy is a complete asshat and has no business managing a MLB team.

What an outfit, send Pillar packing Saturday and turn around and sign him today, WTF happened in less than 24 hours.

26th in MLB, I’m shocked. -
White Sox fans #29 in "hope," down 20 spots in 2 years

How the mighty have fallen. -
4th win a row beating the Cubs 3-2, is it time to get a little excited.
-
Probably true but Robert is not superstar as of yet, when I see a few years in a row where he posts OPS over .900 then we can call him a superstar, needs to stay healthy also.
-
It would go bad.

I’m going with B+. Cease was OK but he regressed last year and based on that I think we did well with this trade. I didn’t think I’d ever see another rebuild but it is what it is and let’s hope they get this one right.

White Sox agree to minor league deal with Brad Keller

This whole off season has been as bizarre as can be. What exactly is Getz’s game plan? -
Grifol: DeJong, Lopez, Maldonado are good on offense

I admire your optimism, you remind me of myself from back in the day. -

Exactly, there’s no reason to rush him. -

With what has happened the last 2 years with the team and this imbecile as manager it is becoming extremely hard for me to care anymore, I have 72 years invested with the Sox and I’m trying to hang in there, what happens this year could be the deciding factor. Part of the problem is the team wasn’t improved one iota over the off season and we still have an idiot as manager, unless I’m missing something, what is there to look forward to. -
Sox looking at building in South Loop
The Mighty Mite replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
After being a die hard since 1952 I have to admit that the last 2 seasons have really soured me but I really don’t want them to leave my hometown and where I lived the first 47 years of my life. I can’t begin to tell you how many sleepless nights I have had after White Sox losses, I would listen to games with a transistor radio under my pillow not only in my younger years but also as an adult into my 40s. The Sox have been part of my DNA since I was in first grade but as I said earlier, the last 2 years have probably affected my DNA but if I didn’t care anymore I wouldn’t be a member of SOX TALK not to mention a few other sites.
