  1. Do you think any of them really care? They still get to cash their paychecks whether they win 100 games or lose 100 games.
  2. The 1970 106 loss team improved by 23 games in 1971 but there is no way we will see a repeat of that unless our illustrious owner opens up the checkbook and signs a bunch of premier free agents and Getz is able to get someone of value in trading Anderson, Moncada and Eloy.
  3. Except for a few games once this team gets behind in a game they just about quit.
  4. We’ve seen some bad teams but I don’t ever remember a team so utterly uncaring and disengaged as this bunch, with their lack of hustle they are a disgrace to the game of baseball, that’s not just me talking, just about every game the opposing teams announcers are saying the same thing along with pundits in the press. There are absolutely no untouchables on this team and that includes Robert. There are so many guys I never want to see in a White Sox uniform again with Anderson, Moncada and Jimenez at the top of the list. Another thing as Getz said, the team needs to be more athletic, not a bunch of DHs, a perfect team in that regard are the Rays with no set DH, every game they have a different DH as sort of a rest day.
  5. Hate to see them get off to another bad start but if means getting rid of this clown of a manager, so be it.
  6. Makes you wonder if Abreu was really the team leader, sounds like he was just the leader of the Latinos, makes me wonder why he decided to leave the Sox and sign with the Astros. One thing bothered me about Abreu, he was with the Sox nine years and as far as I know he never learned the English language, I never heard him being interviewed, sort of strange. As I said, this is not good and how you rectify it remains to be seen.
  7. Another article to get more depressed over the White Sox, it’s going to take more than a miracle to fix everything that is wrong with the team and the franchise. I don’t like hearing that there might be problems with dissension along racial lines. I don’t envy Getz as he has a monumental job ahead of him especially when he has to answer to a jerk of an owner. As far as Sheets goes, I always liked him but he has struggled and it makes you wonder if he would have been better with better coaching at both the Minor and Major league levels.
  8. If another team thinks that Moncada is the real deal and decides to make an offer the Sox should jump at the offer, Moncada just can’t be counted on with his history of injuries.
  9. Our guys lost the season series to the Rockies, Royals and the A’s, the White Sox are a disgrace and embarrassment to the city of Chicago and Sox fans everywhere. The fans should boycott the remainder of home games on the 2023 schedule, send JR a message that Sox fans will not tolerate his pathetic ownership any longer. This also falls on the players, I’ve never seen a Sox team that just keeps doing dumb things especially in their approach while in the batters box, they have no idea what working the count means. Last night Eloy didn’t swing at 2 meatballs down the middle of the plate then swings and misses on a pitch that he couldn’t hit with a broom, we’ve seen stuff like this all season, is Grifol and the rest of the dunces on the coaching staff working with the players or are they just not listening, don’t care or just plain stupid.
  10. Yes, Wilder has credibility questions but JR has just about destroyed the franchise where it will take a complete change of how things are done with the “White Sox way”. I don’t see those changes coming with Getz as GM along with the complete idiot Grifol trying to manage things on the field.
  11. Good list, just make the Sox players watch the Rays games on TV, the Rays do all those things with a great front office, manager and coaching staff.
  12. Colas has been a pretty big disappointment and my guess is he won’t be a member of the White Sox next year.
  13. Another offensive explosion with the bats today but not to worry as we have a great core of players.
  14. Where do you start with this team, near the bottom in all offensive categories being last in OBP and BB. There are no untouchables except for Robert and hopefully Montgomery will be ready in 2025 so there is your core. I’m not sure how they get rid of Moncada with his contract, he has been pretty good lately but can’t be counted on, on a couple of swings last night he fell to his knees as something was buckling, I’m sure he will be going on the IL soon. Eloy’s power numbers are down and he can’t run or play the outfield. Vaughn might bring something decent in return but he’s another station to station player. TA right now won’t bring much in return, in order to trade him we have to pick up his option, I’d pay him the million bucks and send him packing. Benintendi isn’t a bad player but far from great and won’t bring much in return either. I think those guys are the core that JR speaks of and if he thinks that you can build around those guys it’s obvious that JR is getting delusional in his old age. I haven’t even mentioned the mess that we have as a pitching staff and of course there’s the manager and the coaches with none of them earning their salaries. I think Getz is figuring some things out but if he’s relying on Grifol for his input and that Grifol will lead the team to the promised land, he’s barking up the wrong tree.
  15. Great points, could it be the JR is running the franchise into the ground with the end result being that eventually interest in the White Sox will be at an all time low with no one caring if JR sells to owners from another town. Why else do you sign a guy like Getz who has absolutely no experience as a GM and in turn Getz decides that Grifol who is the worst manager I have ever seen to lead the Sox forward, like forward to Nashville or some other Sun Belt city. I hope I’m wrong but as long as JR is owner of the White Sox nothing will surprise me with that man, I trust him as far as I can throw him.
  16. They have worse records but right now the Sox are the worst team in MLB.
  17. They’re fooling themselves but not fooling us.
