I’ll take it.

Can’t believe the Ms didn’t score. Might as well win it now, it will look good on Grifol’s resume.
-
17Ks by Sox hitters, they’re so good at working the count.
-
How can they right everything wrong with this team. It’s going to take a miracle.
-
Please fire this incompetent fool now and let Montoyo finish out the season.
-
-
You just knew they were going to blow another one.
-
I guess it’s too hot for that kind of stuff.

I’ve been drinking gallons of Gatorade and water while play golf this hottest summer ever in Florida and I’ve still had a couple of scary issues with heat exhaustion.
-
They’re going to have to come to an agreement with Clevinger, both parties right now can opt out.
-
I hate seeing that regardless of how bad the team is, he’s a professional making a lot of money, someone needs to give him a kick in the ass once in awhile,
-
Where was he earlier in the season, we might have won 1 or 2 more games. One thing is that he has never quit, a lot more than I can say about a lot of guys on the roster.
-
Yes they would.
-
A good pitching coach would probably fix him.

Watching Kopech pitch is worse than root canal.

After an exhaustive search, Getz named GM/VP
The Mighty Mite replied to bmags's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This is really depressing, Getz is in charge of the worst farm system in baseball and he gets promoted to General Manager. I think JR is losing his mind. -
I was watching the Rays-Rockies game and checked in here at SOXTALK and couldn’t believe what I was reading, had to pinch myself to see if I was really awake and hadn’t dozed off. After that I put the Sox game on at 8PM EDT to hear from Bennetti and if there was any further news or firings or if the Sox were moving to Guadalajara.

I'd love to see it but don’t hold your breath.

From what I read is that Hahn and KW didn’t agree on quite a few things, the next guy should be GM with no one to answer to but to JR. For instance Hahn interviewed Grifol and decided he wanted him but then Grifol had to be interviewed by KW who gave the final OK. Hahn also didn’t want to trade Burger but it was KW who made the trade, what’s the point of having a GM who basically didn’t have all that much control, sounds like we had too many cooks in the kitchen.

It’s a damn shame that players can’t be fired, there is only one guy on the roster who has exceeded expectations. There are some like Cease, Vaughn and maybe Eloy who are tradable and some like Moncada who aren’t . The new GM whoever he may be will have one monumental job making the Sox a contender again. My guess is we are looking at another 3 years of a rebuilding period unless JR has an epiphany and opens up the checkbook and allows the new GM to sign some premier free agents.

In 2 seasons the Sox improved so much they came close to winning the division in 1972, if Melton hadn’t hurt his back they might have won it.

I don’t get the Tribune, can you give a short recap of the article.
-
I’m thinking Stone, Steve is no dummy and knows the game.
-
Getz has flourished as minor league director, on what planet.
-
This is hard to believe, I’d can Grifol immediately and make Montoyo interim manager.
