Three Things for Pedro to Do to Avoid Career Suicide
The Mighty Mite replied to Texsox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He needs to hand in his resignation right after Hahn hands in his. -
Vaughn did the right thing, first of all TA was staggering, any more punches and he would have been out for the count, a referee would have stopped the fight. Second If TA still had his senses and wanted to continue the fight, that could have led to who knows what and could have led to a longer suspension. To say that the team didn’t support TA is bull crap by Betts and Carroll, every member of the team came out of the dugout and bullpen to support TA and there was the usual pushing and shoving that you see in most baseball fights.

My boyhood heroes along with Billy Pierce and Minnie but Nellie was my favorite, first thing I checked in the Sox box scores was how many hits Nellie had.

I’m pretty sure I remember the original S I cover had both GOs circled for GO GO.

He has a damn good arm but seems like he’s not taking the right tracks to catching the baseball, just doesn’t seem real smooth on some plays. I’d play him every game the rest of the season and evaluate him then, he’s not going to get better sitting on the bench.

I still think that AJ Pierzynski would make a damn good manager.

The problem is Colas isn’t any good either

My guess is that of the 2 AV probably has more leadership qualities than Robert, maybe from his college days. I believe that the Sox think he is only going to get better as this is only his 3rd year in pro ball, he never played in the Minors except in the Rookie league. Robert is a introvert and from what I read is very shy, he would be better leading by example but he’s had issues by not busting his butt on groundouts and other instances, last night was the first time I’ve seen him run like someone in a 40 yard dash, I didn’t realize he had that kind of speed. We need to see more of that from him. Robert has a chance of becoming an all time Sox great, he just needs to want it. What’s missing in all this is that the guy that should have been the leader is TA but we all know how things have turned to crap with him on and off the field.

To tell the truth, I’d rather see the Red Sox in last place, their fans are more obnoxious. -
This is going to go right down to the wire, I’ve run out of fingernails to bite.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture

Exactly, that’s why it’s called a uniform, everyone and everything should be uniform. -

The trouble with calling out people by name is because of trades you never know what is your next organization or who your new teammates will be so you must be careful when burning bridges but nothing at all surprises me with Middleton’s comments. -

Middleton said he heard the same crap was going on in 2021, there is no doubt that TLR’s management last year screwed up this team immensely and got the team to this horrible point where they stand today with their horrible play and attitudes. That also falls on JR because it was he who hired TLR against objections from Hahn though I’m not sure if Kenny Williams was on board. -

It’s hard to believe how bad this organization has become. If JR is as miserable as reports say he is and he is still mentally competent he must as soon as possible fire the whole front office and minor league organization. Let the new GM hire a new manager who can bring in his own coaches, with almost 2 months still left in the season they will have time to evaluate the players and determine who they should keep and who has to go, we as fans aren’t stupid and have figured what players should go so it shouldn’t be too hard for the new manager and coaches. The franchise is a complete embarrassment and those of us who love and support the Chicago White Sox deserve so much better. -
The city has probably seen its best days but the suburbs are still vibrant and not losing population like the city. If I were a billionaire and bought the Sox, it’s somewhere in the suburbs where I would look to build a new stadium. That market hasn’t been tested and would probably be a gold mine for the Sox.

I listened to that 1959 game on my transistor radio under my pillow, what a great performance by Billy. Nowadays it’s takes 3 or 4 games for starting pitchers to put in 16 innings of work and they still come down with all kinds of arm troubles.
