  1. Our illustrious pitching out to straighten Kopech out, good luck.
  2. That’s a disgrace for a Major Market team and we have JR and his sad sack of a front office to thank for this embarrassment
  3. My next door neighbor growing up in Rogers Park was famous amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans and I was lucky enough to be his personal caddie from summer of 1960 to early 1962. Despite us living down the street from the former Edgewater Country Club, Chick actually played most of his rounds at the Glenview Club on Golf road and his regular 4-some included Ray Schalk, very nice gentleman and he always got a kick that I was a White Sox fan.
  4. In the long history of the game I’m sure its happened more than a few times.
  5. He needs to hand in his resignation right after Hahn hands in his.
  6. Vaughn did the right thing, first of all TA was staggering, any more punches and he would have been out for the count, a referee would have stopped the fight. Second If TA still had his senses and wanted to continue the fight, that could have led to who knows what and could have led to a longer suspension. To say that the team didn’t support TA is bull crap by Betts and Carroll, every member of the team came out of the dugout and bullpen to support TA and there was the usual pushing and shoving that you see in most baseball fights.
  7. If the Rays put a claim on him then this kid must have something.
  8. My boyhood heroes along with Billy Pierce and Minnie but Nellie was my favorite, first thing I checked in the Sox box scores was how many hits Nellie had.
  9. I’m pretty sure I remember the original S I cover had both GOs circled for GO GO.
  10. Might be worth a try, he was pretty good in his early years in the low minors, except for closers bullpen pitchers are a crapshoot anyway.
  11. He has a damn good arm but seems like he’s not taking the right tracks to catching the baseball, just doesn’t seem real smooth on some plays. I’d play him every game the rest of the season and evaluate him then, he’s not going to get better sitting on the bench.
  12. I still think that AJ Pierzynski would make a damn good manager.
  13. The problem is Colas isn’t any good either
  14. My guess is that of the 2 AV probably has more leadership qualities than Robert, maybe from his college days. I believe that the Sox think he is only going to get better as this is only his 3rd year in pro ball, he never played in the Minors except in the Rookie league. Robert is a introvert and from what I read is very shy, he would be better leading by example but he’s had issues by not busting his butt on groundouts and other instances, last night was the first time I’ve seen him run like someone in a 40 yard dash, I didn’t realize he had that kind of speed. We need to see more of that from him. Robert has a chance of becoming an all time Sox great, he just needs to want it. What’s missing in all this is that the guy that should have been the leader is TA but we all know how things have turned to crap with him on and off the field.
  15. To tell the truth, I’d rather see the Red Sox in last place, their fans are more obnoxious.
  16. It hasn’t helped with some of the crap that TA has said like the Jackie Robinson comparison and the I’m the best player on the field. We don’t know for sure if he’s the cancer but he is a humongous jerk.
  17. Right, someone is going to get some scissors and start ripping up jock straps.
  18. And the hits keep coming, I’ve never seen a season and a team so messed up as what we’ve seen and heard so far, 7 weeks to go, might get better or should I say worse.
  19. This is going to go right down to the wire, I’ve run out of fingernails to bite.
  20. Exactly, that’s why it’s called a uniform, everyone and everything should be uniform.
  21. The trouble with calling out people by name is because of trades you never know what is your next organization or who your new teammates will be so you must be careful when burning bridges but nothing at all surprises me with Middleton’s comments.
  22. Middleton said he heard the same crap was going on in 2021, there is no doubt that TLR’s management last year screwed up this team immensely and got the team to this horrible point where they stand today with their horrible play and attitudes. That also falls on JR because it was he who hired TLR against objections from Hahn though I’m not sure if Kenny Williams was on board.
