Most of us weren’t around at the beginning but the White Sox did go 88 years without a World Series Championship, me personally, I went 53 years until we won it all in 2005 as I became Sox fan in 1952, we did make to the WS IN 1959 but lost to the Dodgers. I remember well the Maple Leaf teams of the 1960s who won 4 Stanley Cups, they beat my Blackhawks quite often but it was a great rivalry, hated Eddie Shack and a few other Leafs.

You would think the law of averages would have one of these moves by Getz pan out with a guy that can actually play the game. I honestly think that these guys won’t win another game this year, 31-131 has a nice ring to it and would be 30 games worse that the 2023 White Sox juggernaut.

Because the Dodgers have the best organization in MLB, they know how to evaluate talent with excellent scouts, know how to instruct and develop players in the minors without rushing them to the big club and then to cut bait if the need arises. The Rays are pretty good at this also but of course don’t have the money that LA has.

That team had Major League players like Aparicio, Melton, May, Herrmann, Knoop, Berry, Horlen, John and Wood just to name some. The pitching was pretty bad with Horlen and John who had off years. Gary Peters was traded away and they were counting on Bart Johnson but he wasn’t ready.

He never had a chance at the runner going to second, should have taken the sure out at first. You can be bad but don’t be dumb.

Probably doesn’t make much of a difference but why aren’t Vaughn and Benintendi in the lineup.

Please wake me up, this is the worst nightmare ever.

Too funny, how about when they made JC the color man with Harry, I think Harry started to drink more.

And they made an amazing turnaround, improving by 23 games in 1971 and coming close to a Division title in 1972.

To what end, with no help on the horizon in the minors and they aren’t spending money, that leads me to think they are either selling or when the lease is up, moving.

It’s hard to fathom that a Major League team can be that bad.

Exactly, last offseason I kept scratching my head asking myself what the hell is this guy Getz doing. This off-season might be the most important in team history, they have to spend some money and bring in some free agents as there is isn’t much help in the minor league system. If they don’t then there something else going on and I’ll leave it at that.

Dream on, this team is not capable of anything resembling a hot streak. They will be lucky if they make it to 35 wins. I wouldn’t be surprised if the don’t win another game this year. There are AAA teams from other organizations that are better than the Sox.

Mainly because I’ve been a Sox fan since 1952 and they are still part of my DNA and what we have gone through the last 2 years is just gut wrenching.

We have so many more things to be worried about than the Flubs.
