  1. Burger is at .924 but hasn’t played as much as Robert. With Moncada back Burger when he returns has to be the primary DH with some platooning from Sheets, at least until Yoan winds up on the IL again.
  2. I agree with you, I hated the Cubs with a passion most of my life but if I still lived in the Chicago area and the Sox left town I would probably become a Cub fan, it’s not like you’re becoming a traitor as it still says Chicago on their road uniforms. I guess I’ve mellowed a bit in my later years. I was Cardinal fan when they were in Chicago and playing in Comiskey Park but when they left for St. Louis in 1960 it wasn’t hard to become a Bears fan, of course I didn’t hate the Bears like I did the Cubs.
  3. Since I live in Florida and have no ties to Chicago anymore I guess it wouldn’t mean that much but the Sox have been in my DNA for 71 years. I would keep remembering the good years like the GO GO SOX years, 1972, 1977, 1983, 2005 and a few more years. I have a lot of memorabilia and videos that I will continue to pull out once in awhile. When I look back to the track record of the franchise, there has been way more headaches, sleepless nights and heartache that we as fans didn’t deserve. The Rays will be my favorite team but they will never replace the White Sox in my heart. Bottom line is I hope they don’t move because of the loyal fans that live in the Chicago area, you guys deserve new ownership and much better times.
  4. This is beyond embarrassing, It’s getting so bad I’m ready for them to bring back Ozzie, I was so happy when he left but maybe he could light a fire with this bunch of Mickey the mopes.
  5. Teams all over the Majors the rest of the year are going to be licking their chops in anticipation of playing this pathetic bunch of stiffs.
  6. These guys can’t run without hurting themselves, never seen anything like this.
  7. The track record is the proof in the pudding, yes they are a pathetic organization.
  8. I don’t remember the 2000 team being unlikable, they sure could hit but like most Sox playoff teams except for 2005 fell flat on their faces, IIRC a few of our starters had arm issues heading into the playoffs.
  9. It looks like Jose might be reaching the end of the road but he’s had awful starts before but not sure as bad as this year. He only hit 15 homers last year and none this year so it looks like he has lost some power. The other thing is there has always been a question about his age, he might be a couple of years older than stated in his bio.
  10. Best pitching coaches Sox ever had were Ray Berres and Johnny Sain. No one has really come close to those 2 especially Berres.
  11. He watches so many Sox hitters swinging at pitches in the dirt that he thinks the rest of the hitters in MLB are as dumb as Sox hitters, just dumber than dirt, no pun intended.
  12. Why was Katz hired in the first place, before he was hired by the Sox he spent 1 whole year in the Majors as the assistant pitching coach with the Giants but then why was Hahn hired?
  13. It’s doable, a lot of us remember the 1983 Sox who were 8 games under .500 at 16-24 in late May but after that they were just about unbeatable finishing at 99-63. The current team has the talent but I’m not sure if they are as good as the 83 team, best stretch of baseball I’ve ever seen the Sox play, first thing is they have to get everyone healthy and stay healthy and then to start to believe in themselves and play as a team, this little stretch they are on now gives us hope.
  14. We’d be on a nice roll with a 7 game winning streak if not for winnable games that we lost against the Reds on Saturday and especially the Twins last Thursday.
