Old guys like me remember Sherm Lollar who was a great catcher and good hitter but Vaughn is a speed demon compared to Sherm.

4 games against the Clevelanders and 4 against the Twins coming up next week, this could be make or break but first we have to beat the Tigers again tomorrow.
-
Twins lose again to Texas, someway, somehow the Sox are only 3 games out in the loss column.

Do You Still Believe in This Group Of Players?

JR is 86 years old, quite possible the elevator isn't making it to the top floor anymore. -
Why they keep trotting those ugly's drives me insane as I'm not insane enough as I've been following this team since 1952.

On paper they should be running away with the division, instead they can't even play .500 ball. Something is wrong and if I knew maybe I would be in the Sox front office. My gut feeling is that Hahn and KW know it's TLR but the last word goes to JR, somehow, someway they have to persuade JR that TLR has lost his skills as a manager and let him go, there is still time to turn this season around. -
I honestly know, TLR should be in the Happy Valley Rest Home. I'll help foot the bill.

There are no untouchables, every offer has to be taken under advisement.

I remember when the White Sox had fan favorites especially with the teams of the 1950s, we all loved Nellie, Chico, Billy, Minnie, Little Louie, Jungle Jim, Jimmy Landis, Sammy Esposito and Bubba Phillips. Down through the years we had others like Kenny Berry, Pete Ward, Horlen, Peters, Wood, Melton, May, Allen, Fisk, Kittle, Baines, Thomas, Ventura, Luzinski, Burns, Konerko and so many others. That brings us to the current bunch, are there any really likeable players that could be considered fan favorites on the 2022 Sox, I guess Abreu might be one but that's about it.

Yogi Berra led the 1964 Yankees to the World Series and got the axe right after Series ended.
-
The fans feel like most of us here, this isn't a likeable team that doesn't hustle much, makes a lot of errors, doesn't work the count with too many Ks and too few walks, make stupid mistakes on the base paths and on top of it all has a manager who is brain dead. White Sox fans are so much smarter than the Cub fans and will not throw hard earned money at a team that most of the time looks like it doesn't care and is just going through the motions.

I think he's dead, it's Weekend at Bernie's all over again.
-
They were tired from scoring 9 runs and hitting 3 homer's on Wednesday, they should be OK by Sunday and salvage a win in the series.

It hasn't yet, I think the switch is broke.
-
I doubt it.

1959 is still mine but for pure fun at the old ballpark, 1977 was the best. I guess that's why you picked Zisk as your screen name. Do you remember the July 31 double header when in the first game the Sox came back and won the game on a walk off single by Ralph Garr in the 10th inning to go 6.5 games up on the Royals. Over 50,000 in the park and the place was shaking, I saw a lot of games at old Comiskey but never was the place as crazy and as loud as it was when the Sox pulled that game out. We were going for the 4 game sweep in game 2 but the Royals salvaged a split of the DH. The next week in KC the Royals swept the Sox and a storybook season unraveled after that series.

They had a bunch of years in the GO GO era that would have been WC teams including 63, 64 and 65, those were the 3 best consecutive seasons victory wise in Sox history, they won 94, 98 and 95 games in those 3 years, finished second to the Yankees twice and then the Twins, what else is new.
-
The 1977 team also won 90 games and finished 3rd but there never was more fun than that year.
-
1981 was also a disappointment as the Sox were playing great ball and were a game out of 1st place when the players went on strike. I was at the last game as the Sox beat the Yankees. The season started up again in August and MLB decided to have a split season so the Sox got screwed losing the first half by that 1 game. They didn't play well the second half and were never a factor.

Why?

My comment was more about how bad Moncada is than how good Leury is. I haven't been a fan of Moncada since his first full year when he struck out 214 times, if Moncada never plays another game for the Sox, it wouldn't break my heart at all. Anyhow, I'm happy I gave you a few chuckles.
-
About what?
-
Right now Leury is better than Moncada.

I'd love if they could move him in fact I would do hand springs and I'm 76 years old.
