  1. One thing you have to give Ventura some credit for are these defensive shifts. They have been positioned quite well today, and have probably saved a few runs through these double plays.
  2. Ok, that was just pathetic. Fourth leadoff walk, second walk to the pitcher. Come the f*** on.
  3. Oh wow, Marlon Byrd just got suspended for 162 games, got caught with PED's.
  4. and now a leadoff 5-pitch walk, lol what the f***.
  5. I think the Sox were hoping that degrom was going to continue his wild ways from last start. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Gotta attack these first and second pitch fastballs, Kansas City style. He's way scarier when he's ahead in the count.
  6. Gonzalez looked much better that inning. Sorta hung a breaking ball to give up a hit to Walker but that'll happen. Located all of his offspeed stuff very well, threw a couple of great breaking pitches that fooled hitters. Good to see him settle down after a rocky start, Sox are very much in this game.
  7. This has been a fun game to watch so far. Love the White Sox approach from both the offense and the pitching. Just great coaching and execution.
  8. We are pretty lucky to only be losing 1-0 this game. Watching deGrom go 0-1, 0-2 to these hitters is irritating when Gonzalez is lucky to not walk any given hitter.
  9. Ugh, he should have been safe, he overslid third base. If this was a closer game, he probably wouldn't have gone past second.
  10. Wow, didn't expect that to work, but thrilled that it did. Great day for AJax, 3-1 Sox!
  11. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:15 PM) Come the f*** on Carlos. I back ya up and ya strike out twice Swinging at pitches way out of the zone as well, lol. Oh well, come on Dioner...
  12. Not to undercut the solid work done by Latos so far, however. 1 ER through 4 IP is a great performance, reminiscent of the early goings - let's get a bit more insurance this inning.
  13. Yan Gomes does not look... good. What an awful AB.
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:05 PM) From 0-2 to 3-2 woof To be fair, both of those initial called strikes were probably balls. Joe West is an inconsistent and terrible umpire, but at least he's unbiased in his unabashed ineptitude. Latos scared of Napoli from the first-inning HR, I guess. Seems unnecessary- just don't hang offspeed pitches.
  15. Ugh, popped up an inside fastball. Back to old habits I see...
  16. Good pitch to end the sequence by Clevinger, solid AB by Melky. C'mon JA, bust this game open.
  17. Great hitting by Jackson and Rollins, good productive out by Eaton. Like seeing this guy's ERA back over 7. Let's keep it there!
  18. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) That's the best swing I've seen Abreu put on a ball in a while. I'll take it. I was just thinking that. More bad luck (or maybe just good defensive analytics by our opponents).
  19. And, I'm shocked, shocked, to see that Latos gives up the lead immediately with a hanging offspeed pitch.
  20. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 23, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Glad Frazier was hitting 3rd today lol Yeah, hopefully Abreu responds well to the 5th spot as well. The temperature is really starting to warm up, and I'm hoping Jose heats up along with it.
  21. Hell of a first inning for the Toddfather. 1-0 Sox!
