  1. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 06:26 PM) I love beating the Twins. I hope they don't win a game this season. *except for all of their remaining games against the Royals, Indians, and Tigers (but nobody else).
  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 11, 2016 -> 06:23 PM) I hope this was every bit as demoralizing for Minnesota fans as the crap I watched last year in Chicago. Had to have been. Between the momentum killing-double plays, the error that led to the difference-making two-run two-out hit by Jackson (that was itself preceded by a near-grand slam, so you'd have to be feeling some type of relief as a Twins fan), and the general inability to convert nearly any offensive opportunity, 0-7 would feel like a tough pill to swallow. Conversely, the schadenfreude is gonna have me euphoric for the next couple of days! Hope Rodon/Latos can pitch up to their opening performances and take the series!
  3. Masterful work by Robertson for his third save. 5-2 baby!!!!
  4. Talk about getting squeezed, compared to those first inning calls for Gibson...
  5. Great approach Avi. Just swing at everything when you're facing a pitcher with command issues.
  6. Abreu's getting the good calls too. This is just absurd. Guess pitchers don't have to throw strikes.
  7. USA Today picked the Sox to be in first before Spring Training (so before the Jackson addition and the LaRoche saga): http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2...otals/80389576/ Clay Davenport (who founded Baseball Prospectus) generated these predictions on 3/13, which hilariously have the Royals as the worst team in the AL at 71-91 (he also has the Sox in first): http://claydavenport.com/projections/PROJHOME.shtml I've seen a lot of negative ones for the White Sox too. Most projections or predictions generally seem to have them in first or last. Appears that nobody really knows what to do with the AL Central.
  8. Eaton 3-for-3 with 2 RBI's, 4-3 Sox. Would be nice to see Eaton get off to a good start this year.
  9. Anybody get a chance to see Fulmer? Or if nobody's there in person, what were the announcers saying about his mechanics and development?
  10. Gotta say, I did not expect them to tie the game up. Melky continues decent second half of the year.
  11. Damn, Jones was on FIRE today. Nate has a beautiful 12-6 curve, haha I've missed him and his quirky delivery- really glad to see that the injury hasn't cut into his velocity.
  12. Great AB by Abreu. Also, wtf you're 16? I'm 24 and I feel pretty young for this site (which is something I like about it- a lot of conversations wouldn't feel out of place at a bar in Bridgeport after a game).
  13. It wouldn't be awful management to let Sale pitch to one more hitter. Honestly, giving Sale a curtain call against the Cubs with a career-high strikeout total could be the best highlight for the rest of the season, and a few more pitches isn't gonna kill you.
  14. 14 strikeouts, and Sale has now struck out every hitter in the Cubs lineup besides 1.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 16, 2015 -> 03:01 PM) Well, to be a little charitable, as hot as it is a warmup is 2 minutes for most guys out there. That said, someone ought to be throwing when the inning break hits. And evidently, bullpen up and going. KKKKKKKKKKKKK
  16. All things considered, that was a pitiful base stealing attempt.
  17. I hate Flowers and think pitch framing is sort of overrated, but I do have to admit that was a fantastic frame on a slightly outside slider. I'll take it as just compensation for the ludicrous "HBP" on Rizzo. 12 K's! I agree with the above posters - keep Sale in for the 7th, pull him if he allows one baserunner
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 12:45 PM) Yankees had a white sox quality rundown going and then for some reason Alexei just gave himself up and stopped running? He better be hurt. Knowing him, he was just giving up.
