That's the most excited I've ever seen Q on the mound. Hope the offense wakes up about now!

QUOTE (bmags @ May 19, 2015 -> 09:07 PM) Gill! I believed in you and this! That pitch was borderline. Taking it was reasonable. We've been in worse situations than this. We were going to lose eventually, but I still believe we have a good shot in this one...

QUOTE (bmags @ May 17, 2015 -> 06:46 PM) This is why I defend farmer and DJ a lot. They have a lot of fluff, but they have some excellent pitch sequence commentary which we do not get on our tv team often. We're playing them at a good time. We're (presumably) starting Sale, Quintana, Rodon, and Danks - four lefties. Their regular lineup: Jason Kipnis - lefty - hitting .415 vs. RHP, .214 vs. LHP Carlos Santana - switch - .213 vs RHP, .229 vs LHP Michael Brantley - lefty - hitting .320 vs RHP, .400 vs LHP (although this is the only year he's hit better against lefties) David Murphy - lefty - hitting .319 vs. RHP, 0-for-1 vs LHP Lonnie Chisenhall - lefty - hitting .256 vs RHP, .214 vs LHP Brandon Moss - lefty - hitting . 214 vs RHP, .265 vs LHP (he's about even on his career) Michael Bourn - lefty - hitting .250 vs RHP, .200 vs LHP Roberto Perez - righty - hitting .216 vs RHP, 0-for16 vs LHP Jose Ramirez - switch - hitting .219 vs RHP, .036 vs LHP Obviously they sub some of these guys out against lefties. As a result, we'll be seeing a lot more Nick Swisher, Ryan Raburn and Mike Aviles, but I don't think they'll keep everyone out everyday (and if they do, it'll hurts both their power and their defense).

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 17, 2015 -> 06:07 PM) Sale/Q next two games, get above .500 and stay above .500. Let's hope. We lit up Kluber earlier this year, but he seems to have turned a corner. Should be a great matchup tomorrow.

QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 17, 2015 -> 06:05 PM) It's funny that Rowand and Hawk are complimenting each other on a well-announced series, as in truth...it was unconscionably horrible that is why that is funny At least it was entertaining. And more importantly, it was a sweep! Five game winning streak into the homestand, time to keep the Tribe from getting any ideas!

Damn Avi is f***ing strong. Bring in Robertson still?
-
Great move by Robin.
-
Good read on the ball and catch by Avi. I love this kid more and more every day.
-
I never thought I'd see a defense worse than ours. I'll take it.
-
I dont think Johnson gets that out
-
Frustrating, but better than going 3 up 3 down. Let's keep the pressure, stay the course...
-
What percentage of our wins have been come-from-behind victories? Four in a row feels good. Make it five (hundred) tomorrow!
-
Avi is just killing it today.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 16, 2015 -> 10:19 PM) I don't think that is what he meant lol. My girlfriend and I just had an argument about this lol. She thought he was saying he needed to get laid, I thought he meant that somebody needed to put him on suicide watch. Either way, not as ridiculous as when Hawk said that there "aren't many funny Latin guys in the clubhouse" earlier haha
-
Abreu! Haha this was the offense I wanted to see!
-
Amazing at-bat by Avi. Makes up for his baserunning error earlier. That was just stone cold.
-
Terrible baserunning and terrible defense. With competent baserunning and defense, this is a 1-1 ballgame, man on 2nd, no outs. As it stands, 2-0 Oakland.
-
Terrible fielding comes back to get us. 2-0 A's.
-
Awful call to strike out Eaton. Abreu's ability to muscle inside pitches never ceases to imperss me, but I wish Cabrera and LaRoche tried a bit harder to work counts in their favor.
-
That was stupid. Seems par for the course this year.

QUOTE (Mike F. @ May 9, 2015 -> 09:21 PM) If they blow this for Rodon, I will be so pissed. If we get through this one, I have confidence in Duke and Robertson (knock on wood) -

I think the poor baserunning may be the best individual argument for a new manager... Baserunning is one of the clearest aspects of the game in which the manager has influence, and it's also the part of the game at which we are failing most spectacularly. -

QUOTE (Chris Sale @ May 9, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) I'm with you. Beckham's greatest talent seems to be instilling false hope. I just hope MGMT sees it that was as well... IDK, I think the righty/lefty platoon seems to be working out right now. Although, Beckham's fielding is enough of an upgrade that it might justify the switch. Either way, production from 2B/3B will be marginal. Hardly matters if Eaton/Cabrera/Abreu/LaRoche play like they are now. The only hitter (besides Abreu, who has been at worst decent) living up to preseason hopes is Avi. -
