  1. Viciedo has been doing badly, recently, but he's also been getting unlucky. Two very hard-hit balls that at bat, baseball is a game of inches. Combined with the Dunn near miss, Scherzer is obviously pitching well, but not Sale-well. Hope we pull off another Verlander Surprise against him.
  2. The amount of swinging strikes that Sale induces is mindboggling.
  3. Scherzer is listening to the scouting report. Everything to Abreu was low, either under the strike zone or off the plate.
  4. Awesome inning. Gotta take Scherzer a bit deeper into at bats this inning.
  5. They're gonna win this challenge, bad throw by Jose. Danks has a sweet pickoff move, though. EDIT: I should call things against the Sox more often.
  6. Abreu's 2nd HR off of Verlander! This man is too good to be true.
  7. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 06:29 PM) Good I hope Danks pitches great for a trade (wishful thinking) Too many years left on his contract Although I imagine with Rodon coming up the Sox would love to unload him.
  8. "Gordan Beckham can hit home runs without even trying" - Hawk
  9. Nice catch by Gillaspie. Hopefully Noesi can retire the bottom of the Tigers' order without too much of a hassle next inning. We need some more insurance ASAP
  10. Oh Hawk. But wow Miguel crushed that ball. Inevitable that one of these long fly balls was gonna get out, at least nobody was on base and we're still in the lead.
  11. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 08:06 PM) Abreu has been horrible. Wow... For the last few games. He had home runs in two straight games 5/6 games ago. It has been ugly for the past few days though, lots of double plays and strikeouts...
  12. Awesome time to break out of the mini-slump now, Jose!
  13. Awesome AB Flowers. Dreaded leadoff walk...
  14. Porcello seems to have real trouble placing his breaking stuff today. Hopefully we can exploit that
  15. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) Ya he's been alright. A lot better than Paulino or EJ Yeah, Cooper seems to have done some really good work with him. Him and Danks have really gotten their s*** together in the last few starts
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 07:49 PM) It ruined the perfect game. Noesi has certainly made some impressive strides, but I feel relatively comfortable predicting that that was inevitable
  17. Viciedo is painful to watch these days.
  18. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 07:33 PM) What happened I'm on mlb game cast tonight Martinez hit a deep fly ball, Eaton gets a good jump and grabs it just before slamming into the wall. Hawk narrates it as if it is Willie Mays, which adds a bit to the melodrama of the moment (it was a good catch though)
  19. It seems like Abreu is mired in another mini-slump; he made solid contact on that ball though, hopefully he's on the verge of breaking out of it. Meanwhile, Dunn does Dunn things
  20. That last pitch was very obviously a strike, but to be fair the first three were in roughly the same place and it was 1-2. Still, way to go Dunn.
  21. I guess this is the kind of thing you notice when you're a 6-time gold glove third baseman.
  22. How did Hawk react to Gordon botching that grounder? Vin Scully's "harder to hold onto than a bar of soap in the shower" line made me crack up.
