    2 singles, one apparently a roller up the middle, 2 more K's. Cease has 9 through 4 innings. Fastball and slider are both working.

    Cease fell behind everyone, but strikes out the side with a single mixed in. Fastball command good aside from the first two pitches of the inning. 33 of 47 pitches for strikes so far.

    Cease gets out of the second. 21 of 28 pitches for strikes thus far with 4 K's and a solo shot.

    Cron with a HR on an 0-2 fastball. Cease still throwing strikes, though.

    Cease strikes out the side in the first. Really throwing strikes with the fastball, which is a good sign

    2 days ago he lined a foul ball off his shin and on the next pitch hit the ball 450 feet. Seems pretty tough to me.

    I think Rutherford is probably a bust, which is too bad. The pandemic did not help. Hard to say much about Sheets, Adolfo, Gonzalez, etc. when they didn’t play last year. I think there’s a solid chance one of them steps up by the middle of the year to help out. Maybe it’s Cespedes. What is clear is that the trades brought in way better talent than the high draft picks during the rebuild, except for Rutherford.

    Just read a Yankees fan site that suggested we acquire Tauchman from them — for Codi Heuer and Benyamin Bailey. Vaughn is looking pretty good out there by comparison.

    That looks accurate to me. But Fry is expected back May 1, so you can’t put him on the 60 day, and as soon as Engel is ready, you DFA Hamilton, right?

    Collins approach is just so good right now. Really looking to be dangerous to the opposite field, which the Rate always rewards. I would love to see what he could do in 400+ abs

    Interesting that Cease said he made an adjustment, because he was a completely different guy in the 5th.
