In the late 80s early 90s when they had VanSlyke, Bonds, and Bonilla, they were pretty good. Since then I agree they have floundered, but those teams were competitive.
In the second game, Mason Adams continues to impress. He's giving up 1 run. Sadly, Barons have squandered opportunities and trail 1-0. Baldwin 2-2, currently hitting .426.
Adisyn Coffey looks like he has put it together this year. He's a real possibility for the Sox after they finally understand the value of relievers who still have minor league options left.
Eder got stronger as the game went on. Struck out the first 2 guys in the fifth then looked like he had the 3rd guy struck out, but the ump wouldn't call it. Infield hit on a ball that demonstrates why Baldwin projects better at second. Eder hit his pitch count and exited with 4.2 IP.
Sosa is a menace on both sides of the ball. I wanted to give him a shot, but a guy who can't control the zone at all who is that non-instinctive on defense... I think he's days in mlb are dwindling.
