  1. But Rick promised he could play his radio at a reasonable volume.
  2. Man, Godwin Bennett is a big man. I have high hopes for him.
  3. I would go 1. Montgomery 2. Schultz 3. Quero 4. Jacob Gonzalez 5. Ramos 6. Mena 7. Cannon 8. Ky Bush 9. McDougal 10. Sosa 11. Popeye. I am higher than most on McDougal and lower on Pallette. His curve looks plus, but when I've seen him he's low 90's without much command. If his stuff doesn't tick back up to where he was in college, he looks like just a guy to me, but what do I know?
  4. ACL held on to win 6-5. No hits yet for Gonzalez 0-5 w/ 3bb and 2K in 2 games.
  5. Gio was one of my favorite Sox of all time. Class act. From his struggles in AAA to being the worst pitcher in the league to his rebound, no-hitter, and dominant playoff start, he gave us a ton of thrills. ReyLo also pitched here.
  6. Bush has missed a lot of time this year and had to put up with the stupid tacky ball in the Southern League. His stats last year in AA were solid. I think he's a nice add to a pitching-starved system.
  7. Quero is a legit prospect. Callis and Mayo at Pipeline have been high on him. Probably slots in at #3 on Sox list ahead of Jacob Gonzalez. This does not suck for two rentals.
  8. Why is Touki in this game? I thought he was starting on Saturday.
  9. 0-2 pitch against a guy who swings at effing everything.
  10. Not a single ball hit hard. One of those innings.
  11. Imagine how tough you have to be to grow up with the name Mastrobuoni.
  12. Mena is done 5IP 4H 3R 3ER 3bb 2K. Meh.
  13. HR Hackenberg. He has been on a tear lately. Could he be possibly a non-embarrassing defensive-first catcher?
  14. Reyes pitched better last time out in relief. By Hernandez do you mean Erick Hernandez? If so, he's in the ACL and struggling. Catcher Ronny Hernandez, OTOH, is doing quite well.
  15. W-S lose 7-6. Burke 2-3, bb, HBP, Montgomery 2-4, bb, 2K.
  16. Kanny scored 4 in the first and holds on for a 5-3 victory. Good outing for Shane Murphy 5IP 5H 1R 1ER 0bb 3K, solo shot. W-S trails 7-6 in a seesaw game. Burke 2-3, HBP; Montgomery 2-3, bb, K. Back half of the pitching staff in W-S is really, really bad. With Cannon and Kelley gone, it is super thin.
  17. Dalquist was horrible once again 2.2IP 7H 5R 5ER 3bb 3K. W-S trails 5-3.
  18. Dominguez threw 2 scoreless for W-S. He's 27, coming back from TJS but he may be rotation depth for 2024. Dalquist in now and he's getting hit.
  19. W-S and Kanny with early starts for some reason. W-S leads 2-0 in the first but everybody panic -- Colson Montgomery has now struck out 4 of his last 5 at bats. I assume someone from the org came in and "coached" him.
  20. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=145&date=07/26/2023 https://www.milb.com/scores/all/all/whitesox Hoping to change our luck, although I suspect it's not luck.
  21. I suspect The Eagles know why Hahn did not do his customary press conference:
