  1. Huh, I would have bunted Romy and pinch hit for Andrus.
  2. Lange in. They absolutely need to make him throw strikes.
  3. Pallette struggled with his control 2.2IP 2H 1R 1ER 3bb 4K relieved by Yohemy Nolasco who has also struggled with control, but showed good stuff 2IP 0H 0R 0ER 3bb 4K.
  4. Elko 2 HR, 5 rbi so far in Kanny's regularly scheduled game.
  5. Nice outing from Kopech. Even the pitch he gave up the homer on wasn't that bad.
  6. So Kelley struck out the first 2 guys in his third inning and then walked the next 3, his final line: 2.2 0H 0R 0ER 3bb 6K. Encouraging despite the rough ending.
  7. That is a quality at bat from Burger right there. You don't have to throw the ball anywhere near the plate. But you know the old saying, "You can't walk from St. Louis."
  8. I think this is on the scouting/players. Sox need to completely rethink their entire front office set up. I will give Shirley credit for Montgomery. He seems to have a good handle on the strike zone. Also, Tatum knows how to give a good at bat, otherwise the Sox minors are loaded with guys who swing at everything too.
  9. 4Ks in 2IP so far for Kelley. They may have found his niche.
  10. Another relief outing for Kelley, 1-2-3 in his first inning with 3Ks.
  11. This team expands the zone in every direction.
  12. Two bad teams + one huge strike zone = Action!
  13. Talking about Boyd. I'll readily acknowledge everyone on the Sox is limited in approach/launch angle. No pitcher is aiming to give up 98 off the bat.
  14. Also a bullet from Grandal. Sometimes better to be lucky than good.
  15. Tommy Sommer has thrown 5 no-hit innings with 6 walks.
  16. Both McDougal and Dalquist are done. McDougal pitched 4, Dalquist threw another inning and ended 5IP 2H 0R 0ER 1bb 7K. Certainly his best outing of the year. He was 92 with the fastball, two good breaking balls and he filled the zone.
  17. Good outings so far for Dalquist and McDougal. Dalquist 4IP 2H 0R 0ER 1bb 5K. McDougal walked 4 guys in the first but picked one of them off second base. 4IP 1H 0R 0ER 4bb 3K.
  18. Burke is playing in Saturday’s game. Just hit a two-rbi double.
  19. Chris Kamka, has there ever been a game when every run (more than 1 run) scored via the wild pitch?
  20. Bunt Moncada over and pray for the wild pitch!
