  1. 1. Roberston 2. Melky 3 Quintana 4 Frazier. After that crap shoot... I don't get all the swarzak stuff. He might get traded sure... but he has only had one other year that was that good. I doubt he would bring much worthwhile.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 3, 2017 -> 10:59 PM) These are two very bad baseball teams. The A's may actually be worse than the Sox. I will give Renteria credit. I can't see us blowing this lead. If this was last year with Robin I definitely would be expecting us to lose. The Sox were that dysfunctional with Robin even against horrible teams. Bud they swept us at home last week.. so not sure about that conclusion.
  3. Jose not getting it done tonight with runner at 3rd.
  4. made two dumb base running plays there... got away with one of them ( frazier) but not the 2nd.
  5. man I hope this isn't another game where we cant hit this dude with a 5.00 era... He throws floating meatballs...
  6. This has been a little league effort on defense today...
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:21 PM) Stone was overly critical of Anderson. Don't think he had a ply at third there If you rewind it looks like he does. However there were 3-4 other mistakes also lets not forget
  8. QUOTE (Butter Parque @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:16 PM) No. It should be placed at a league that decided that this is what instant replay should be used for. To dismantle the neighborhood play (and get more guys injured) and to have ppl in dark rooms make judgement calls about where a runner would have been at a particular moment in time. It's ludicrous. Baseball is not the sport for full-scale replay. It boggles my mind how ppl like Stone could support it. I'm not saying I agree with the rule... it's stupid. But it shouldn't have even mattered if our players just made basic baseball plays that inning. sorry
  9. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 2, 2017 -> 02:07 PM) Why didnt Davidson just step on 3rd and throw to 1st ? He seemed fairly close to the bag . He made multiple bonehead plays on that play.... good lord..
  10. You guys are misplacing your anger at the umpires. It should be placed at the ridiculously mentally inept decision making and play of our infield. Just one mental midget mistake after another.
  11. Man he looks bad in every aspect of the game at the moment.
  12. I can't remember a worst effort on a homestand.
  13. Timmy needs bigger glasses I think?
  14. I definitely don't think any manager would make this team a winner obviously...
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 05:15 PM) The way he runs a bullpen is mind boggling. If Robin was still here, the pitchforks would be out, but they aren't trying to win, so you might as well keep him around and hope with more talent his decisions make more sense. If not launch him then. At this point he is fine. I feel bad for Alen Hanson. His kids are going to be teased about their father being PH for by Kevan Smith. Totally agree
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 04:43 PM) My hope is Rick Renteria. Why? Getting swept by a team with the worst record in the American league, and his team looking mentally unprepared?
  17. I thought Renteria was good at the mental part of this game maybe.... after this teams performance against a bad team... maybe not so much.
  18. Ricky should have ran himself to games in a row.. because his team didn't look mentally ready to play either day. Bad at bats, poor defense... ejections. Pretty solid really.
  19. Shields is like a slow pitch softball pitcher... Once you just get used to waiting its launch city.
  20. This team should have stayed on the road.... Two days in a row just looking like a pile of turds.
  21. They look out of it mentally in every way tonight... I guess it happens.
  22. C'mon... yeah yeah the gold glove probably doesn't always go to the best defender. I've been around the gold glove arguments plenty of times.... But a poor defender? I have trouble believing that. Over its history I'd say a larger portion of the winners are great to good to avg.. I know about derek Jeter...
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 20, 2017 -> 09:57 AM) Given what he will likely get in free agency and the actual value he would add, Hosmer might be the worst player they could sign. The only thing that's changed from this year compared to last is a little better luck on batted balls. Also, Hosmer is not very good defensively, as in, just as bad if not worse than Abreu. I agree with much of this post... but the defense Is that sarcasm about the defense? Hosmer won the gold glove at 1B 3 straight years...
  24. He has looked pretty horrible a lot of the time. It's too early to give up on him, but yeah he needs to figure a lot of things out. At the moment he doesn't have what it takes.
  25. Anderson is one of the easiest outs I see all year. He needs to hit the bench for awhile and figure some crap out.
