  1. fraizer has put his bat in play as much as the ball... Anderson needs to work on his speed to first.. for a guy of his speed he gets doubled up way to much on not that hard hit balls to the left side.
  2. well we won... nice job by the bull pen. The fact that we managed only 4 runs out of our countless opportunities is pretty much the backbone of this squad however.
  3. Abreu would swing at a paper airplane if you threw it up there.
  4. Pitcher has given up 78 baserunners in 4 innings but we have 3 runs.
  5. I like wimpy and Jason together.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 06:58 PM) Should have put this one away.... Those two at bats were pretty much the standard for this team the past few years. The guy has no control walks multiple hitters. He throws 2 strikes in 8 pitches to our power hitters and they get themselves out. Man it has to be hard to be manager/coach in that dugout.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 12, 2016 -> 06:53 PM) Comcast wants this Abreu moment so bad Yeah can they please stop showing his son who wasn't even paying attention to his father batting... that was mega annoying.
  8. nice job by Rodon to shut it down that inning.
  9. This teams inability to get a big hit is pretty hilarious. Whenever they have a chance to blow it open they fail.
  10. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Aug 11, 2016 -> 10:37 PM) Additional stat: Sox have now scored three runs or less in 54 of 114 games played. 47%. Doesn't matter who they bring in, doesn't matter what team they come from, a culture of losing has now gripped this organization. Nothing changes until major changes are made on the baseball side of the front office and in the philosophy of the organization. Mark One of the trademarks of the Ventura era.... It may be silly of me to blame him but man it sure is the pattern.
  11. The only hope is that a new coaching staff somehow changes the culture and attitude... Different players... same coaches basically the last 4 years and some of the most tight arsed offensive production I've seen in a 4 year span.
  12. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 10:55 PM) if you want to blame the performance of the bullpen (post ASB), look no further than Sale This post actually made me lol at it's ridiculousness.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 10:43 AM) And I think David Robertson blew one of those saves immediately after getting over worked because of the Sale meltdown. Perhaps.. but Sales melt down miniscule in amount of innings cost to the bullpen then Roberston's inability to close games has.
  14. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) What does that have to do with Robertson? Well Robertson leads MLB in blown saves the past two years... so I think there is some connection perhaps.
  15. he needs to go... or change roles. Looks like a closer is one of the things we need for next year. Yuck
  16. the cupboard is bare when Sanchez is your speedy pinch runner.... More like a wiener dog then a cheetah.
  17. wow at the shrinking game threads... MLB replay is a bucket of garbage btw. They need to get rid of half of it.. takes forever and they usually F*** up the call anyway.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 09:32 AM) We can promise Cespedes unlimited golf outings with Hawk on the road... lol.... this was a great post.
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) Kenley Jansen has a 1.29 ERA and strikes out about 12.5/9. Is he elite? He's blown 5 saves. Not sure if he is Elite... but he is better than Roberston (84% vs 88% career save plus a bunch of other meaningful stats) Robertson isn't horrible.. but he sure as heck isn't "Fantastic" I get that being a closer is a fickle game... but Robertson hasn't lived up to expectations.
  20. injuries have been pretty crazy this year....
  21. He has looked good in his short stint so far...
  22. QUOTE (captain54 @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 01:07 AM) Tied for Third in 2016 with most blown saves. (And that was before tonite) 26th and 27th in WHIP and ERA. Middle of the pack in save % Not OK, when you consider he's the 3rd highest paid closer in MLB He might lead the majors in blow saves combined the last two years.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 10:08 PM) This scrub has already blown 2 wins for Sale, and many others. He's a huge disappointment. 12 blown saves in two seasons... yeah not so fantastic
