it is pretty remarkable at how bad our hitters can be.... Like the other team could send out a slow pitch league softball pitcher and we would k 14 times... Its some epic ineptitude out there.

Maybe it's not his fault or maybe it is... But man these guys do not play loose or with confidence. Roll up on the Atlanta Braves and the Angels and can't win. I've just seen enough of Robin Ventura... maybe its not even on him. But I just want him to go away.

People worried about Abreu aren't being irrational. He has steadily declined over the past three years. Hopefully he has a huge 2nd half. Even if he isn't the .300 30 hr 100 rbi guy we thought he was going to always be.. he still is better than a lot of the other slop we have.

when Stanton put up 20.. that put the pressure on. I also think the pitcher is very underrated in this. I thought Stanton's pitcher was way more consistent.

Abreu has appeared to be declining.. the basic numbers are straight forward. BUT its more than a little early to be making any conclusions on him. He still has a lot of career to go... after this season is over we can assess more reasonably. He is still driving in runs... which to me is the most important stat for him.

Our bullpen was borderline when healthy... now with all these injuries we have zero depth. If we keep winning... then we are going to have to find help. It would also help if our starters would step up - especially our top guys who haven't pitched like that recently.

I don't like pitching closers in non close situations... UNLESS the game is out of reach and lost. But... there are many other factors that can play into this. Like injuries...
