  1. Someone look up our record after off days.. I swear its seems like its horrible.
  2. QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Would anyone be shocked if the Sox get swept? Yeah I'm trying to beat that feeling down... but I have it also. Trying.. to beat it back...
  3. Jason = jinx Has nothing to do with the real outcome of course.. but it still drives me crazy.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 8, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Flowers isn't the reason he threw a straight fastball over the plate. This... straight 94 mph fastballs over meaty parts of the plate aren't that hard to hit.
  5. Chris's fast ball is just so hittable.. it has been for awhile. When he has the slider working he is great.. but if he has to throw a lot of fastballs he can get lit the eff up.
  6. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:57 PM) That's why it's hard for me to give up on the fire Ventura bangwagon. Well its went south not using him... or using him...in similar situations.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:53 PM) Not if you have a vested interest in being negative. Is calling someone negative being negative?
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) 541 posts in the game against Boston. WGN games would be the same. You are wrong. James Sheilds on a weekday WGN game got over 400. Yeah I started to try and go through all those.. not worth the time that is going to take... I will admit this... some WPR threads are gigantic some are very tiny. Another thing I'll admit.. anytime shields started during his horrible stretch the threads were gigantic.
  9. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) I can't believe this is even an argument. To say there's no difference in activity between winning and losing threads is all kinds of naive. It's plainly obvious. I'm not really arguing that.. I said right away that could be a part of it. I'm saying there are other pretty large factors.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) 541 posts in the game against Boston. WGN games would be the same. You are wrong. James Sheilds on a weekday WGN game got over 400. I looked a little bit... mostly saw CSN games with longer threads. There were a couple outliers. I'll look again later.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:35 PM) The part you are missing here is that Channel 50 is actually a free channel available over the airwaves. CSN is not. More people get 50, than do CSN. Go back and look at all the threads is all I can say... It's probably not worth your time - but you would see it.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:33 PM) Yea that reason is 100 percent wrong You should go look up the threads.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:28 PM) There is absolutely a difference between posting patterns when the team is losing, losing big, and winning. Threads are always WAY longer when the team is losing, and biggest of all when losing big. If you don't believe me, then yes, ignorance is the answer. The question was why is the thread shorter... the answer is simple and I'm 100% sure - the game is not on CSN. Do people post more when the team is losing.. maybe. But the game threads are ALWAYS ALWAYS shorter non CSN nights... I'm betting the amount of people actually watching the game drops by 65-70%
  14. QUOTE (Insp @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:51 PM) Why so few people on the forum tonight? Because the game is on WPWR....
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:15 PM) Thread sizes and who is in them speaks for itself. Wow the ignorance some of you are showing... You have never noticed that when the white sox games are not on CSN that the threads are much smaller? It's really that simple. A lot of us do not live in Illinois, or the Chicago area. must be trolling.. its the only answer I have.
  16. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 08:53 AM) Call the game. It's his job. Funniest part of this thread... one guy complains that Hawk is too silent... another dude complains that hawk talks too much.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 10:52 PM) The White Sox almost signed that meatball throwing pitcher for $125 million two years ago....how soon they forget. He's got a very solid ERA. Sometimes, movement and location are MUCH more important than velocity. The Yankees should know, Eovaldi and Pineda both can throw hard but no idea where it's going usually. Yeah his career ERA (hasn't pitched very long) is solid... he just looks so hitable...
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 10:52 PM) Tanaka's pretty good..... I guess it must be the motion or something... he throws some floating stuffs.
  19. to get shut out by that meatball throwing pitcher was pretty embarrassing.
  20. QUOTE (Coach @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 07:29 AM) Hawk has a lot information to give but my only complaint about him is he never shuts up. I realize he is there to speak but he should have realized after all these years, sometimes a little silence is a good thing. Stoney and Jason talk way way more....they have a little ongoing comedy act. Like Hawk it has it's ups and downs, but way less silence for sure.
  21. guy continues to be unbelievable...
  22. Yesterday Frazier took an outside pitch... and Hawk emphatically stated "I haven't seen him take an outside pitch like that in awhile... that's a great sign" Then in todays game Frazier said he had a bat last night where he saw the ball for the first time in awhile... and thought he was about to get hot. That's the kind of s*** that Hawk has that hardly anyone else does.
  23. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 1, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) Some times it looks like Abreu just gives AB's away. Looks at 2 pitches right down the middle them weakly waves at a pitch at least a foot outside. I just knew it a last.. he was getting hot. Then he missed that game and ever since he has been cold again. F******* knew it was going to happen.
