QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2015 -> 07:08 PM) That is not what a DFA is, and Sanchez wouldn't be DFA'd because he has options left and doesn't have to go through waivers. If the White sox won 4-3 or 2-1 today, this thread doesn't exist. It was a tough match up for the Sox today, especially without Abreu. This thread has existed for weeks. Also still not sure what you are arguing about because part of DFA is sent to the minors... its one of 4 different options the team has.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2015 -> 06:59 PM) You said he would be DFA'd. Do you even know what that is? If Gillaspie played 3B today and Beckham 2B, the odds are overwhelmimg they still wouldn't have scored. Sent back to the minors where he has been for most of his career... including the beginning of this season.... You can also quit saying crap that I didn't say like its all his fault or he is the reason. Nor am I talking about just this game - I made no reference to the game today at all. That's a pretty big jump to conclusion Dick.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 30, 2015 -> 06:52 PM) So the White Sox didn't score vs.a pitcher with an ERA under 2.00, without Abreu in the line up, and more panic sets in. Now scoring zero is Sanchez's fault. LMAO Yeah sending Sanchez back to AAA would be "panic"? Or playing guys at positions they have always played.. Weird definition of panic there Dick. Nor did I say it was Sanchez fault... it's just another hole in a bad lineup and even more it I worry about his confidence.
-
Perhaps but if Sanchez doesn't start hitting soon he will be DFA... It's also about not destroying his confidence.

Our D up the middle would still be good... We need to find ways to score runs... no amount of defense can save this team if it can't score. Hawk likes to talk about if we didn't give this run away or that run away.. true some of that is true. However the mental effect that not hitting and scoring has on your team is tough to overcome.. especially with so many young players. Honestly its not going to happen - our defense will not/cannot overcome our offensive issues.

Deal with Connor at 3rd base... Sanchez just can't hit enough to take a spot at 2nd.

GT 5/30: White Sox (22-25) vs. Astros (30-19)

Jennings had little to do with this loss.... Our mental midgets weren't finding a way to hit this soft tosser -
Hard to mount winning streak when your offense is this bad. Guy with 49 strikeouts on the season in 73 innings strikes you out 11 times. Such undisciplined/bad hitters. Even Avi who is batting 324 ... he swings at every piece of s*** pitch the pitcher throws. Quit getting your self out... you're major league hitters. Embarassing.

I swear every year we got a bunch of guys that swing at every piece of garbage pitch the pitcher throws up there. -

Well if he is healthy he should be playing RF... However from what I saw last week I'm not sure I expect him to make it through this game. Hard for me to believe that knee is better. -
such a potent offensive team... Abreu 1-8 in the series... this offense often goes as he goes.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 28, 2015 -> 05:13 PM) f*** Robin. /roll eyes

Another example--- hanger right down the middle and Abreu beats it into the ground. If our pitchers threw that pitch to their #3 hitter its out of here.
-
They need to have batting practice where they just work on hitting hanging breaking balls... Never seen a team so bad at hitting pitches with blinking lights on them.... This guy has thrown some meatballs

Chris Davis hitting 300 against LHP but now lets go get the righty!

one of the worst coached MLB teams I've ever seen... how many dumb mistakes can be made -
In-season managerial changes a risk, BUT

I don't blame Ventura for very game... but. 1. Some of you are forgetting that Ventura didn't WANT to be a manager - they had to talk him into it. 2. The team (especially in the past two years) just makes a bunch of sloppy non major league level mental errors... at this level where everyone a professional this really looks like coaching - I don't know why Ventura doesn't work but he doesn't. He just doesn't get through to these guys. Its glaringly obvious. -
Walk him... I don't care what bautista has done... I thoughts that what ventura was doing there. Just such a failure And Steve Stone is a dumbarse also soon as his fat face started blowing about Robertson I knew we were done.

Why pitch to that guy?
-
When all the players make the same mistakes its not just the players.
-
Ventura is an utter steaming pile of S**** manager

You guys thinking this other announcer is go good are just delusional for something different... I like how he said "We had two chances to get the runner to 3rd." Only get once chance for it to matter boss... Nice guy though
-
Why do I get the feeling any other team would have about 6 runs right now...
-
It's just not going to change until something is done concrete. Same tired efforts and failures...
