    coaches in pro sports matter - especially in football (in my opinion). In baseball they matter the least... managers anyway. However I feel like managers can't do a lot to "win" the game from their power position - but they can "lose" the game from their positions a little bit more. If the sox keep winning - TLR will get credit... if deserved or not... it will come.

    I thought pinch hitting mercedes was a smart move.. though he should have hit madrigal after that. I've seen some improvement in the decisions - hope the trend continues.

    If we need a lefty bat at #2... then let grandal DH the issue a lot of us have with these line-ups... people like Lamb need at bats for sure. But playing every back up player in the same line-up is silly.

    Yeah... that's also why trading for a relief pitcher is so often a big risk. From one year to the next you never know. It's early though.. he could still be a weapon.

    you're only looking at it from the offensive end.. not the pitching/def end. FYI in the in the 2019 season 9 out 10... top run differential teams made the post season. I didn't even look at 2020 because short season but prob not much different.
