  1. while i dont neccesarily blame Ricky Retario for this one he is so out of his level its astonishing.
  2. yes our bullpen did choke but like Balta said The A's didnt get themselves out - they didn't swing at non competitive pitches and forced our guys to throw strikes. That is how you win baseball games - you can have all the talent in the world but in the end good 3-1 2-0 counts are how you win baseball games.
  3. this is very true - jose has been clutch all year But if you watch the yankees... the Dodgers and good Red sox world series teams. They don't go up there and swing at every pitch. That doesn't fucking work - until we can learn that we might be good but never post season winning material.
  4. achilles heal of this team striking in the playoffs... swing swing swing swing swing at everything That's not championship baseball
  5. its okay keep crying it its making you feel better.
  6. lol... you dont think coaches have an affect on their players mentality? but you want to call my take dumb... LMAO
  7. I don't blame this one AS much on ricky as others - but every move he made failed. The team also was clearly chocking and not relaxed. Again I don't think this one necessarily was his fault - but it wasn't some exoneration of his shitty ability either.
  8. if it makes you guys feel better to keep saying this obnoxious shit that's fine. But ricky is supposed to be the easy going guy that makes everyone play relaxed. This performance look relaxed to you?
  9. I haven't witnessed a choke job like what I'm witnessing here in forever. Just choke after choke out of the bullpen - handing them runs.
  10. The umps don't lose their jobs.... you ever watched tennis? They have used electronics for years and have a review system - and the umpire still has plenty to do.
  11. the system they tested doesn't work like that - yeah breaking balls might be a little tricky, but I really don't think so. But its not just the tricky pitches they are missing. They are missing calls on straight, not moving 4 seam fastballs by 3-5 inches or more regulary.
  12. The White sox dugout and Mazara were furious - they could tell from the dugout. I'm not even sure what you are talking about in the rest of this post. You can tell most of these pitches are bad calls without the benefit of any graphics. But if you watch the zone trackers they sure look correct at least 99% right or better.
  13. only thing is.. no one was asking him to treat ever game like game 7. That's not what was happening at all.
  14. Way too many mistakes this year - its been bad. In the Giants game the umpire missed 27 calls in basically an elimination win and in game. Sorry I don't agree.
  15. yeah its a hard job with framing.. but when you watch all these misses (check out the umpire auditor thing someone linked) The batters know like every time. It's not as mysterious as they are making it. They are just bad at their jobs.
  16. No one here that I saw or myself said the reason we lost was the umpires. He did ring Mazara up on a terrible terrible call in the 8th- would have been 2 on and 1 out - instead was 1 and 2 out. So was very crucial miss.
  17. so statistically.. hard to quanitify -but his calls cost the white sox 0.5 runs oh that was yesterday...
  18. Not disagreeing that he shouldn't have swung - but the ball was inside corner. Not low and outside.
  19. They just need to use the k zone, computers and get it over with. Like the human eyes in the dugout can tell from far away most of the time that the pitches are being called wrongly.
  20. Like Mendoza put it perfectly... "The hitter should get credit on 3-2 for not swing at a pitch like that, not punished - that's now how the game works."
  21. It's not just the sox - its all over. The Giants basically got eliminated in their final game by the umpires. In 30 years of watching baseball I've never see such incompetence as this year.
