I don't they tried to bring it back. I know they announced (I'm pretty sure, can find proof when I have some more time to look) it was coming back but I'm pretty sure the only reason they are is because of the 20 year anniversary.

They’re trying to bring it back next year I thought. Solely for the 20 year reunion of the World Series win most likely.

Thanks. Someone here suggested they call him up to give him a taste of what he is working for this offseason and I thought the only way I would consider that is if he needed to be added to the 40-man in a couple of months (I wouldn't name him the OD starter for next year and I would make him earn a callup next April still so the service time wouldn't matter). Since that is not the case, don't add him. Edit: actually, since this organization/MLB level is a circus, maybe best to just leave him down for that reason anyway.
