As someone said last week I believe, I think the Winter Meetings aren't as big these days as they used to be. They can meet face to face while sitting at home in their home offices if they want to over Skype or G-Chat or whatever.
If they had gotten Kelenic from the M's, then they would just worry about trading for the best packages, without excluding positions. Opens up for more possibilities rather than saying "we need this guy because he plays OF."
You seem pretty confident Eloy is going. Are you hearing they just don't like him or something and are willing to sell low rather than hold him and see if he can improve his value?
