    I think people are over-reacting a bit to an off-season fluff piece. Of course he is still going to work on being an OF. He's not going to DH 162 games.

    I’m good with him getting innings in an MLB pen this year but would want him to build on that as a starter in the minors next year if the plan is to develop as a starter.

    I’d take him if it was for cash considerations but I wouldn’t give up literally anything else for him (unless they wanted Leury I guess).

    Justus Sheffield has a minor league option remaining and was DFA’d by Seattle. Maybe try to grab him for depth?

    There was a thread when he signed but it seems like it was deleted after existing for 20 minutes. This was sometime last week I believe.

    Yeah and I think the Braves already have a lot of OFs on the 40-man. Would be easier to make the Sox you would think.

    Saw that Pillar signed with the Braves on a minor league deal. Would have been a solid option and probably a favorite for the 4th OF role if he were here.

    Exactly my point. He gets more playing time rather than taking an offer to be a bench/platoon player. If money is close, he probably doesn’t pick White Sox over Red Sox if he can play more.

    Duvall had an offer from the Mets too but apparently turned it down since he would get more playing time with Boston.
