There’s always reports that teams are maxed out years in advance? Those reports. Most teams usually know who they’re signing and for how much years prior.
Either one would have had this fan base excited. But yeah Harper more since he is left-handed bat, RF has been a hole for a while, and Harper would have brought some national attention to the team.
It’s all about how much the owner is willing to spend.
If I was a fan of a team who’s owner didn’t mind paying the luxury tax every year, as a fan, why would I care?
His numbers are better than I thought. And he's only missed 2 games in the past 3 years. Having players that can stay on the field is nice.
Edit: he probably gets the least dollars/years out of the big 4 shortstop free agents.
