Yeah I thought that too. I think it would be more structured like this though: ALC vs NLC 2 series, 1 home 1 away. Then ALC plays 1 series against half the NLE and NLW teams at home and the other half away. And then the following year, rotate home and away with the teams in the NLE and NLW.
Edit: will be interesting to see if and how it happens.
I think Conforto will get less than Bryant so you can factor that in too. I also think Conforto is a better fit.
Will be excited if they sign Bryant or Castellanos though lol
Yeah, play an extra series at the end of the season and make up another series with doubleheaders. Fortunately for the Sox, they were playing ALC teams so should be easy to make up.
Question: assuming they add another good, reliable SP and they can't move Keuchel, would you guys be ok with Kopech opening the year in the minors to get stretched out and then replacing Keuchel in like June (if not sooner)? I feel like that ship has sailed but something I would lean towards doing. It just seems like a waste of space in the pen having 2 long-relievers (Lopez and Keuchel) and Crochet on the 2021 Kopech plan if you open with Kopech in the rotation along with a SP from outside the organization.
