  1. Yeah if that all happened, you’re looking at around 250 losses over 2 seasons. Might be the case trading Crochet and Robert in good deals regardless.
  2. By dumb luck really. A guy like Chris Sale who’s too good to f*** up comes along.
  3. I’d be more concerned if he was a RHH and he had extreme platoon splits.
  4. I don't mind that when the young player is the strong side. Can just adda RHH 4th OF type to platoon.
  5. Not necessarily. Rafaela could move from the outfield back to the infield with Duran moving to CF. Or Abreu is part of a White Sox deal.
  6. 40-man roster fat as I'm concerned. Just as he was for the Braves last year.
  7. Yeah and trading Crochet, your best pitcher in a season where you loss 120+ games, makes you closer to that 120+ loss team than 86 win team.
  8. Nah if you’re not going to spend on anyone good, play these guys. Montgomery should also be up at SS at some point.
  9. Between Vargas or Ramos covering 3B, Sosa likely at 2B, you can start Baldwin and have Amaya as a cheap backup.
  10. If the rules were the same across both drafts, yes.
  11. I wouldn’t do it either but until Crochet is traded without him, the possibility exists.
  12. Idk I think I’d rather hit free agency sooner and not deal with minor league travel.
  13. I kinda think if they do take Benintendi back, they’d have to move one of their OFs since they have a lot of lefties and Abreu being a part of a deal would make sense.
  14. Worth noting that they tried at the deadline but someone out of Boston reported they couldn't really take on Benintendi's contract as part of it. Easier to maneuver a budget in the offseason than mid-season. Edit: I know it's not a popular idea as I also think that is stupid when the payroll is going to be so low but still seems like a possibility.
  15. Are they for sure? I know, for example, in Moncada's case, he either gets his $29M salary in 2025 or a buyout. Is the buyout for sure already paid or is it paid in 2025, which the option was for? If you look at it like that, I get why it would be calculated in the 2025 payroll. The good thing is, at least according to Spotrac, is it doesn't count against the Luxury Tax number.
  16. Dude is set to be a free agent at like 27 with very limited innings on his arm. I don't know if I would completely say this.
  17. Lol yeah. First thought when I saw his name. It’s why I had to share the info. Possibly @Greg Hibbard’s profile pic at one point?
  18. Former Sox legend Cody Asche named hitting coach for O’s
