  1. Bye Gavin. Can cover 1B and 3B at least.
  2. That return date feels optimistic. Don’t rush it.
  3. Sort of Cease related, but the Pirates are talking to the Marlins about their starters. You gotta assume they have talked/are still talking to the Sox. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/02/pirates-trade-rumors-marlins-edward-cabrera-free-agency-domingo-german.html
  4. At least the losses will look cleaner, rather than the throwing the ball all over or just not making plays or not getting to balls.
  5. Him and Eloy are both injury prone DH's. One would have to play the field.
  6. Well we know what Hahn would do with payroll flexibility: invest heavily in the bullpen.
  7. 72 career saves including a season where he had 39. At least we have a few guys with closing experience in camp. Hopefully a decent bullpen can be pieced together.
  8. Another possible option at closer.. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2024/02/white-sox-sign-corey-knebel-dominic-leone.html
  9. I’m just assuming we will get the motivated version who maybe hits better than previous seasons
  10. I think I would start the season with: Benintendi Robert Moncada Eloy Vaughn Fletcher (at least to start, maybe swap with Benintendi eventually) DeJong Lopez Maldonado/Stassi
  11. What service does Sheets really provide for this team? Play against some tough RHPs? He's beyond bad.
  12. Yep and 2 spots will likely open with 60-day IL stints for Foster and Martin. Edit: I feel like Joe Barlow is likely a lock to make the team (unless he is terrible in the spring) so probably need to open a 4th spot. Edit 2: Another spot opens up with Lambert getting DFA'd (out of options) in this scenario. That's fine as he's just a guy. There's your 3 openings.
  13. Should have gone Cease or KBO MVP Erick Fedde lol Not a lot of good options but Cease is still here and the obvious choice.
  14. Yeah, that's kind of weird right? Edit: Kopech as the pitcher selected for the graphic is depressing.
  15. There's a part of me that thinks he's here until mid-summer. There's a part of me that thinks he is gone for best offer before the season starts, whether we love the trade or think we could have gotten a bit more.
  16. A robotic lower half. Maybe he could actually run.
  17. Exactly. A penny pincher burning a couple mill on this guy is weird.
  18. Yeah, terrible signing at this point
  19. I still feel like Snell ends up with Angels seeing they’re about $56M under luxury tax threshold.
  20. Guess they wanted the extra year of control with Fletcher?
