I don't think you even think about trading Sale until July 2017. If he is pitching like an ace, the Sox are bad and the state of the system is no better than it is now, then I think you have to be realist about dealing him. He'd be more than a rental and would still bring back a lot. Obviously not as much as now since he still has 4 full seasons under his deal. Talk of trading him now is kinda silly (unless we get blown away by an offer).
