  1. A few of those names are not long term options. We’re not making this trade solely to fill holes for the next year or two.
  2. Surprised something like this isn’t happened yet.
  3. Whatever long term deal Bellinger signs is going to be awful quick I feel.
  4. But they have also offered Yamamoto a $250M+ deal. I guess you could shop someone though.
  5. I think he's just salty (like the rest of us) that he's holding up the off-season for a lot of players/teams.
  6. Whoever offers the most AND offers an opt out after like 4 years probably gets him.
  7. I would believe this if you said May/June, but by August, if everything goes according to plan, you probably see Montgomery in Chicago (and to an extent, Ramos).
  8. Idk, Gallen, Rodriguez, Cease, Kelly rotation would look nice.
  9. I feel like there are definitely other candidates I would have DFA'd before Patino.
  10. Right. Eventually they have to make some sort of move and they do have some nice hitters.
  11. I don't put a lot of stock into the rumor either but the Pirates aren't a team that will go out and spend 9 figures on an arm so trading for one that has 2 years of control is probably more intriguing to them. This is basically their version of "going for it" and hoping their young hitters can help carry them like the Reds last year.
  12. Vegas is getting a second team as an expansion team along with the A's?
  13. You would have to think if he's here meeting with team that he would want to maybe agree and finalize a deal before going back home for Christmas right? The end of the week Tweet definitely makes sense.
  14. Yeah a little over there on Spotrac. And also with Cease at around $8.5 who may be traded before that.
  15. I like the suggestion of Jake McCarthy for Eloy Jimenez. Feel like the D-Backs can still use another RHH (though, they could just sign Soler or JD Martinez if they want to).
  16. I feel like either Texas or another team further west is the call. And then of course Nashville.
  17. Sadly, that limit would be really low.* *for a team in Chicago
  18. If you could get a couple interesting pieces for him, I wouldn't mind trading him now. But in the meantime, there is no immediate replacement and might as well see if he bounces back as a full-time DH. He's proven he should never be in the OF. Can't really blame for the appendectomy though.
  19. Yeah, I don't think he's actually an announcer. He just fills in for like an inning for Pat Hughes. It would be like if Chuck started calling innings/games.
  20. That's fair. Just not sure how much value I actually put on paying someone who can't stay on the mound $27M. I don't think that is very valuable.
  21. I still vote mix package. 2 bats, 2 arms. A top 100 arm and bat (or similar value, not necessarily current at T100).
  22. Yeah, they should still have a need for a RHH. Eloy can DH and Gurriel can play LF.
