  1. They didn’t trade for those 5 years of control though. It’s separate from the 1 year/$25M they traded for.
  2. Agreed in a lot of aspects of the organization.
  3. If one thing is for certain, there’s been lots of great baseball the past decade. /green
  4. Yeah unfortunately can’t force a team to trade some of their talent. I’m kinda shocked they’re not trying to move one of Hays/Mullins/Santander for prospects to slide one of Cowser/Kjerstad to the MLB team and have more prospect depth to deal from.
  5. I just don’t see them adding Kelenic with basically 3 top 100 guys.
  6. Simple: get 2 bats and 2 arms. If you land 2 too 100 prospects (or players who were but have 6 years of control left), get one back that is a pitcher and one a hitter.
  7. Huh? This team is already worse than looking than last year (except maybe defensively). Some of these guys they would be possibly selling low on (Eloy). Might as well see if he can hit for a couple months and deal in June/July. Same goes for Moncada. No immediate prospect banging on the door to start there opening day.
  8. I feel like you’re getting 3 top 100 prospects in 2 of those deals basically so definitely interesting, ha.
  9. Look at the roster. The answer is obvious on if they will be competitive or not.
  10. Probably the way you list it but that doesn't mean I don't like the Braves offer.
  11. “A lot” 3 arms who were not that great last year lol Soroka also has 1 year of control so non-factor long term.
  12. I’m certainly not complaining about a Braves return. Can’t have too many arms. Especially with this team.
  13. Pitching is still a long term need (until proven otherwise). Edit: also might be better than what other teams are offering? Hmmm…
  14. Makes sense based on literally every move thus far.
  15. Worth noting he’s due back like mid-season (I’m pretty sure).
  16. It should be but shows how significantly they are slashing payroll. Roster looks worse than anything we could have penciled in.
  17. Aggressive GM, great offer (even if pitching heavy). What am I missing?
  18. Makes sense they signed Fedde at 2 years the cost about.
  19. Agreed. They need to be traded separately honestly.
  20. Yeah, I was wondering how this worked. With it being a 10-year deal with 10 years of deferrals, is it maybe evenly matched? Like if he opts out after 5 years, does he only get 5 years of deferrals? But yeah I think you're right that the Dodgers would be on the hook for those.
  21. Look at it as more of a sending the Dodgers money to help even out Lynn Kelly deal. It is amazing he never got a shot when Colas was sent down and after Shields was terrible again and Frazier.
