  1. Yeah but the "dik" thing is completely unnecessary. If you don't like them obsessing over Vaughn, say so like an adult. They have been giving him a lot of love lately.
  2. Not gonna toot my own horn yet, but that inning was basically the exact opposite of the first. Maybe he does go 4 or 5.....
  3. Pretty sure he punched one of those into the RF gap last night.
  4. Welcome to the board. All I think is you never know with veterans like this. Could be a night where he doesn't have it at all, could be a night where he toughs up for the next few innings.
  5. I'm okay with this. Get 4 or 5 out of him and get to the bullpen.
  6. Robert and Hernandez at 7 and 8 is a killer. Really extends this lineup. But none of that matters when Eloys hitting bombs.
  7. I'm being completely subjective, but not just this game. It seems like most well hit balls lately are right at someone or close enough for them to make a play. Still a lot of bad contact mixed in though. At least they have about 2 months to get it together! Whew.
  8. Admittedly I was in and out today but I thought I saw quite a few decently struck balls. Idk though
  9. Lol hes not even old. But yeah who knows what the fuck is going on with that guy. He could be an MVP candidate but he is kinda meh at the plate for whatever reason.
  10. Seems like the Sox have had a disproportionate amount of hang whiffems recently.
  11. I'd be interested in a raffle of some sort. You might want to make a thread or something.
  12. Gah, I just moved to AZ and was pretty sure it would be West in 2022, but unfortunate for me the Diamondbacks are playing in Chicago. Damn it, now I need to wait 3 years maybe for the Sox to play here. Now I wish they'd expand interleague a little bit more...
  13. Cease has his struggles sometimes but the man can be downright filthy.
  14. This bullpen is absolutely insane if all these guys are playing their best.
  15. Love how Cesar's batting helmet already looks 5 years old.
  16. Definitely. This year is much more in line with his career. You just never know if the added confidence of an MVP award, kinda like Jermaine Dye 2006 after winning the World Series / World Series MVP, helps you put up a big year.
  17. Man I was really hoping that MVP would propel Abreu to another sterling season. 1.1 less fWAR in 161 more PA's. Tough year for the big guy.
  18. Cubs are a AAA team so Robert might as well be back for that series and play 1 or 2 games.
  19. Locked on Sox podcast mentioned that Kimbrel's child has medical issues and that the Cubs really wanted to try and keep him in Chicago so he didn't have to move his child. Knowing this, I think the Sox will probably pick up that option and not trade him. And that's fine with me. He's really fucking good.
