Robert and Hernandez at 7 and 8 is a killer. Really extends this lineup. But none of that matters when Eloys hitting bombs.

I'm being completely subjective, but not just this game. It seems like most well hit balls lately are right at someone or close enough for them to make a play. Still a lot of bad contact mixed in though. At least they have about 2 months to get it together! Whew.

Definitely. This year is much more in line with his career. You just never know if the added confidence of an MVP award, kinda like Jermaine Dye 2006 after winning the World Series / World Series MVP, helps you put up a big year.

Man I was really hoping that MVP would propel Abreu to another sterling season. 1.1 less fWAR in 161 more PA's. Tough year for the big guy.

Cubs are a AAA team so Robert might as well be back for that series and play 1 or 2 games.

Locked on Sox podcast mentioned that Kimbrel's child has medical issues and that the Cubs really wanted to try and keep him in Chicago so he didn't have to move his child. Knowing this, I think the Sox will probably pick up that option and not trade him. And that's fine with me. He's really fucking good.
