  1. But nobody outside grilling and playing games, I assume.
  2. How strictly are they enforcing the no tailgating rule? Can I at least sit in my car and have a drink and a sandwich?
  3. Cant wait for Vaughn to figure it out with the bat.
  4. Yes, please. I'm usually the optimist player. You know? Early in the season, TA will be back soon, our bullpen kicks ass, yada yada.... but AS A FAN... if I showed up to the park today and saw that lineup, I'd be sickened. Like why am I even here? This is how you back up your #1 SP? Where the hell is Yermin? I believed JR when he told RH to tell us that TLR would be the manager this team needed, but this has clearly not been the case so far if that's the lineup you're putting out against one of our TOP rivals, especially after they only won on sheer luck last night. It's fucking embarrassing, it gives the stupid Indians momentum, and I'd honestly not be surprised at all of they win the other 2 games in this series. In the end, this team will probably still be competitive for a playoff spot, but it's also looking like more of a "fall short at the end after 'competing' all year team" than one that actually competes and makes our divisional opponents feel serious pain.
  5. That lineup was designed to lose against one of our biggest rivals. How in the actual bloody fucking hell can you justify to the paying fans a lineup that does NOT include Yermin Mercedes? How can you justify it to Giolito? The fans obviously enjoy Mercedes, yet people showed up today and were treated to Nick Williams and Jake Lamb. What? Why would I even watch that crap, let alone pay money for a ticket and parking and spend my entire night watching that crap... in the 10th inning as well. The White Sox are quickly becoming something I care less about watching, and it didn't take very long. Good thing because I have other things I am happy to spend most of my evenings on. Also, I probably won't ever shutup about this but... thank you Eloy Jimenez for being a dumb fucking ass and taking yourself out of this lineup for the entire year. I know people want to blame management for believing he is a LF, but the guy should know that he should not be trying to rob HRs in Spring Training, or probably ever. Catch the balls and make the plays you can. But nooooooo, he's going to prove that he can be a great defensive player! And whoops, now he's injured for the year and his teammates act like he fucking died. You know why they act that way Eloy? Because they NEED YOUR BAT AND YOU SOLD ON YOUR TEAM. I believe Yoan will figure it out. Heck, I even believe Madrigal will eventually figure it out. But Mendick should, without a doubt, be getting the majority of time at 2B until Madrigal can string together some at bats that don't include weak groundouts. Make the kid work for it, because right now he is getting it easier than Vaughn (why?) and he is playing substantially worse. Where's the Tylenol?
  6. Sox are quickly turning into unwatchable with lineups and performances like that.
  7. That rule is so garbage. I really dont care what anyone says. That's not baseball.
  8. Mendick should absolutely be playing over Madrigal when TA gets back.
  9. Madrigal is trash man. Dude needs to learn how to hit the ball with some authority.
  10. Cheapest ticket on Stubhub has already dropped from 39 to 29 after that lineup was posted.
  11. Don't understand why Mercedes is out, or why this lineup is so bad against one of their best pitchers. Maybe Mercedes gets owned, but he at least is putting together professional ABs. This is just terrible. This is the best lineup we can put out there to try and beat one of Cleveland's best? This is what you give the fans who actually show up???? Giolito is a plus for the fans, yes, but a lineup like that is just a joke.
  12. I was thinking about going to this game, but now I'm like naaaaah I'm good. Thanks again Eloy.
  13. Benetti just made me lmao with his comment about the fans needing to sync their time codes on the MVP chant.
  14. The one time we finally start at California and it would have been a beautiful week to start in Chicago. So dang annoying.
  15. Anyone at the game? How seriously were they enforcing the no tailgating rule?
  16. Everything that could have gone wrong this inning has.
  17. I know everyone here wants to complain about the lack of depth, but teams probably don't and really shouldn't plan for replacing the production of players like Tim and Eloy. It's just not possible. Talent capable of adequately replacing their production are probably already being paid very well and starting on another team. Our depth in replacing Eloy, Tim, and to a lesser extent Adam Engel is what most other teams would have to replace their very best players. Players like Leury, Mercedes, Hamilton, Mendick, and the occasional uber prospect to give a shot at a new position like Andrew Vaughn. Believe me, I KNOW it sucks. I'm as pissed off as anyone, at no one BUT Eloy Jimenez for costing us what could likely have been 30 HR of production. His bat is crucial to this lineup potentially being devastating, and his reckless need to show that he can be an amazing defensive player cost the team dearly. It's just a shame it took a major injury to get to this point and hopefully learn that lesson and not the multiple minor injuries he already suffered. I can't really speak about Tim right now as there's a chance he will be just fine. Losing him for a long time would suck and everyone here would be right to be extremely worried about the competitiveness of the team. At that point, all it takes is a couple of our best bullpen / SP or another lineup regular to go down for an extended time for the season to truly be in jeopardy. But, you just can't plan for losing your best players for a long period of time. You build your roster with the idea that your best players will be there for 150 games. As an aside... how White Sox has this season been so far? If this injury bug and bad play continues I will continue to say that aside from 2005 this is one of the worst luck franchises around. Or we are the worst luck fans. However you want to look at it.
  18. Didnt take long for Eloys missing bat to be felt. He may not have made a difference this series but for this entire year we may be stuck wondering what if Eloy hadn't been a complete idiot and injured himself for the year.
  19. This lineup is so different without Eloys bat. It cannot be stressed enough. He really fucked the team over with his superhero shit.
  20. I might have pulled Heuer for this inning but this part of the Angel's lineup is seriously different than the front half. Good thing I'm not manager.
