  1. No playoff baseball in 12 years: A blessing in disguise for my mental health.
  2. Ew. This team, despite their finish, definitely deserved 3 games instead of 1 to decide their fate.
  3. It could actually be incredibly advantageous. Big rookies sometimes light the world on fire until the league adjusts. He could be a devastating secret weapon to help us get deeper in the playoffs.
  4. Omg why the fuck cant any of our guys run without getting hurt.
  5. It's crazy how things can go so good to hopelessly bad in such short time. Baseball I guess.
  6. That tweet by DVS makes me feel optimistic about our playoff bullpen. Those are all some nice arms. There should honestly be almost zero reason to use Rodon, Gonzalez, or Fry. Gio and DK can go 6-7 innings hopefully and give way to any of those Bummer, Foster, Heuer, Marshall, Crochet and Colome. Maybe in a game 3 I could see trying out Rodon if Dunning or Cease falter. But definitely not Gonzalez.... and Rodon's leash should be short if so. Many of the top 6 arms are capable of giving us 2 innings, so they should be leaned on and if we die in battle with them... so be it. Should the worst happen and Gio/DK get yanked early... all bets are off. Fire Ricky if the bullpen management doesn't go somewhat like this, IMO.
  7. It'd be nice to go into the playoffs not dreading them, ie. feeling like your team isn't slumping too hard.
  8. I can only imagine how much fun Hawk would be having with this team. Like you, enjoy Jason but it's really a shame Hawk didn't get to make it through the rebuild as well. Even senile Hawk would be fun to have with this team.
  9. While I generally agree with Abreu's comments, my worry is that team-wide slumps usually last longer than 5 games.
  10. Reds are probably the hottest team the Sox have faced in awhile. Good thing they were able to win the Twins series. This one may not be so fortuitous.
  11. I'm no Cubs fan, but seeing Kyle Hendricks own the Twins looked real nice.
  12. Division banners fly forever. Doesn't matter who we face. They're all decent teams. Would suck to face the Cleveland Biebers but this team is starting to prove it can win some close games and the Indians offense is hot garbage.
  13. Very huge. He is so important to this bullpen. Our version of a "Josh Hader" (poor mans?) Hopefully he's the Bummer we all love when he comes back and there's no struggles.
  14. 100% With tailgating allowed, I would be as close to heaven as I possibly could be.
  15. And I love the lack of excessive celebration. Too much work to do still.
  16. Anything he gives us this year/playoffs is gravy, but I do worry about his complete ineffectiveness. We're relying a lot on Tim, Jose and Eloy and they haven't gotten much help lately. Except from maybe Madrigal.
