He better show something, anything at all, at any level this year, or he won't even occupy a spot the depth chart anymore. -

But I have seen enough of Delmonico. Not a good hitter or fielder. -

Cordell struggling after his hot start there. Now we see if he has the makeup to make the adjustments and get out of a mini-slump. -
I'll be at the game Saturday. I was really hoping for Giolito or Lopez, but no dice. Hopefully Manny has another strong start.

Waste of a pick. He'll never develop any power. -
There was none. They knew that they would lose unless they got the NK. If you're in the crypts, there's a chance you get surrounded by dead. If you're not in the crypts, then there's a 100% chance you are surrounded by dead and die yourself (unless you are Sam or a capable warrior). My guess is it was a calculated risk. Better would have been to ship Sansa, Tyrion and them all to the Iron Islands, but I doubt Sansa would have wanted to leave Winterfell.

Jimenez and Kopech injuries aside, it's starting to get real exciting around here.

There's always room for improvement defensively. A long time ago, I remember lamenting Carlos Lee's defense in LF. He never did become elite, but as far as the eye test went, he did become passable. Sometimes he even made "great" plays. It's way too early to give up on Eloy in LF. He does need to learn that he's not Adam Engel though.

This x 3000. Someone needs to light that group on fire. Hopefully it's Robert.

Well duh. Everyone knew how weak he was to dragonglass and the consequence to his army if he died. Someone had to to take the chance to get him. Too easy my ass. Jon had a shot but unfortunately for him was standing around a bunch of fresh corpses. Also, NK smartly stayed away from the warfare until he had his shot at Bran. The entire episode was the climax, plus it was unexpected that it was Arya killing him. I would have imagined it would have been Jon vs. NK in some sword fight to finish him off... but that would have been too predictable. I think once people get over their stupid issues with the lighting, setting, and too few main characters dying, this will go down as one of the best GoT episodes ever. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I see your point, and I understand that we're all used to our favorite characters dying like the first couple seasons, but I don't know if I'd judge the merits of this episode on who didn't die. It was a thrilling episode, not perfect no but nonetheless it was a ride. Sam should be dead, but with warriors like Brienne and Tormund, I can accept plausibility in the fact that their survival skills are as good as their fighting skills. They were all at the end of their rope, though. Should Arya have waited a minute so we could kill off a few more "main" characters? I dunno. Whatever, nothing is perfect and it was still a great cinematic experience, in my opinion.

Agreed about the cavalry. Overall, that is terrible strategy. I couldn't quite understand why they did it, because Jon should know they wouldn't stand a chance. Dany's army is literally toast. Dothraki gone. Unsullied gone. It seems Drogon survived, but it could be debated as to whether or not Jon's dragon survived because he took an ass whooping. Whatever they have left will be scraps... against 20k Golden Company doesn't quite inspire confidence.

I still really enjoy Ninja vs Unicorn, Lizard King, and some of their odd releases like Speed of Sound. This beer was great, though. Hard to get my hands on a 4 pack though out here in the far west burbs. Also Holy Fucking Shit I needed the beer and had to keep reminding myself to breathe.

Alright!!! Its time for episode 3 with a can of NvU vs The Haze. Gonna be a fun evening.

I, as much as anyone, love to pile on the Sox for being "dumb". As of late, though, they have generally been taking players that the scouting community as a whole agree on with their pick. Witt is as hyped up as Adley and Vaughn, and if he falls to three I think the Sox will take him. Remember, Rick Hahn's goal is "sustained success" and for that to happen you need waves of prospects. Witt would be an excellent pick for that reason. Honestly, I'd be super happy with any of the top three. It sounds like Vaughn could have MVP ceiling in that bat. I know many would prefer Witt or Adley, but Vaughn could be a real damn good consolation prize.

For some reason unbeknownst to me, I have serious doubts the White Sox would challenge such a thing.
