  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 5, 2016 -> 07:52 PM) Anyone playing Overwatch this weekend? I'm installing it and hoping I have time to play once or twice until the open beta closes. It looks like a cool game and I am definitely a fan of some old-school FPS such as Quake and original Call of Duty. I spent a lot of time on Quake Live. Open beta should be a good sneak peek for me to see if I want to buy the game or not.
  2. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 5, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Yep. Can't wait for all the celebrities wearing their Cubbie gear in October. I could really use a good Cubs PED suspension. God knows I can't listen to 670 anymore. I have blocked everything other than the White Sox out of my sports life. The thing about 670 is I think most of their personalities are primarily Sox fans. With the Sox playing well, I have heard some good discussion on the Score and they still interview Stone which is always good.
  3. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 5, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Yep. Can't wait for all the celebrities wearing their Cubbie gear in October. They can still be beaten. I'd love a Chicago World Series... with the Sox having the last laugh.
  4. If anyone thinks the Cubs aren't legit, they're kidding themselves. That team is like the best Maddon Rays we've seen times two.
  5. I know Austin Jackson has been kind of a journeyman ever since the Price trade, but it's really hard to believe that he's completely lost it it as an offensive player in his post-Detroit career. If he was older like Rollins, sure, I could buy him being a shell of his former self. I'm guessing he was very comfortable in Detroit and it's taking him some time to adjust to switching teams so much. Eh, I'm not just guessing, I'm hoping. He did have a long, battling at-bat there so that's a positive.
  6. The good news: This game is still far from over.
  7. This ump is going to have a terrible game. A couple Rodon breaking balls were closer to the zone than that strikeout pitch to Frazier and strike 1 to Rollins, and were not called strikes.
  8. I like it. For now I can buy a $7 ticket and sit almost anywhere in the stadium. Caught some action down the RF line and also with some bleacher bums this evening. Obviously I'd prefer a raucous sell out crowd, but there are advantages to being one of the 15k as well.
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ May 3, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) That was one of my favorite games I've attended in so freaking long. Love this team. Great game to be at. Just hard to get a "Lets Go White Sox" chant going...
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 3, 2016 -> 04:13 PM) I'm predicting 30,000 there tonight. Unless there's an epic walkup crowd, this doesn't look like a strong possibility judging by what is available on Ticketmaster.
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ May 3, 2016 -> 08:20 AM) I'm going to game tonight with four others who texted me to go as walkups. That has never happened to me before. Finally found someone to go with me. Woot!
  12. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 1, 2016 -> 02:09 PM) Baltimore can hit. This is definitely not over Especially since Sale might not even make it through the 6th inning. Our bullpen is good but they will be licking their chops. It's good that we were able to snag 6 runs. Get some more.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 1, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) You piece of s*** That's what I'm saying. I may be overreacting but this might be getting into "hit one of their guys" territory.
  14. Great time for Jimenez to become wild... almost hits Eaton in the face and Frazier in the hand... you're a professional dude come on.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ May 1, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) Nice soft hits this inning after last inning If you can't beat 'em hard, beat 'em soft.
  16. That was brutal inconsistency there. HIs strike zone was perfect until that at bat.
  17. Lots of angst in this thread. Wish i could have seen the game, but very happy for the win. Its good to beat Baltimore... go out and win tomorrow now!
  18. I love how part of Avi's batting routine is to slightly hump the air. ...And I really hope this is the real Avi. He has had a good eye the past few games.
  19. If I were Buck Showalter, I'd put my closer out there in the 7th inning.
  20. Sox hitters running up his pitch count. I hope the O's bullpen is weak tonight.
  21. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:57 PM) I legitimately do feel bad for Johnny though. Guy was having a decent career, then BOOM, injury. Too bad, but he's gotta go. I feel the same way. Sure, he's a millionaire and all but I'm sure he wants to be better. He just can't anymore.
