  1. And the excuse from the LaRussa stans is "The guy is in the HOF, it's easy to armchair quarterback on the internet." It's such a lazy response. Access to information has never been easier. The point is it IS EASY to to armchair quarterback because unless we are talking about unknown injuries, we're working with 95% of the same information the ML dugout has....and this stuff seems pretty obvious a lot of times.
  2. Yes, that’s a problem...but I was always under the belief they were in fairly large trouble once Eloy went down from a power perspective. They could have brought in a LaStella or something (which I wanted) but I don’t know how much that really impacts this team. It’s not to say you throw your hands up in the air and say “Oh well” but losing Eloy and Robert can’t just be replaced by depth, those are two tremendously important pieces to the lineup that thus far the team has seemingly overcome...but that was always going to be impossible to cover over the entire season. At some point those injuries were really going to hurt. And my point is I think it is fairly unrealistic to expect the Sox to have guys as “depth” that could really impact things significantly to replace Eloy and Robert. (That’s not even taking into account the Sox “depth” for Eloy was the best player in baseball for April)
  3. Yeah...that one seems a little unfair. Eloy is a 40+ guy, Robert should be at 20-25+ and I think we all thought Vaughn would be showing a little more power. Madrigal-Eaton are really the only spots in the lineup where decent to good power wasn’t expected.
  4. I sat down today knowing things could take a turn quickly, plus I've got a million things on the to-do list. After that 1st inning...seemed like a good idea to start tackling them.
  5. That’s dumb baseball. Time to spend some time outside
  6. This team has had some weird luck. He caught that ball, the runners did the right thing there...but some weird shit has happened to this team this season, not to mention Eloy and Robert...
  7. Your posts look trashy to everyone.
  8. Post enough and people’s true colors always come out.
  9. The trade Theo executed for Quintana really doesn’t get talked about enough in terms of how horrific it really was.
  10. Guys like @Jerksticks and @tray are simply looking for attention at this point. Just leave them alone, the act isn’t as fun when no one pays attention to them.
  11. Evan Marshall in the 9th vs. the Yankees 3-4-5 in a tie game, AFTER an off day...got it.
  12. Why is Evan Marshall in this spot? What am I missing here?
  13. There just comes a point when you see enough evidence to tell you Nick Madrigal has very poor baseball instincts
  14. I also don’t hate it. Leave on an incredible high note, bullpen should be fresh..31 in 31...I’m ok with it
  15. And the White Sox should have absolutely moved on from Renteria, I think they 100% made the right call, and deserve credit for making the move despite making the playoffs and his impressive regular season record in 2020. But I, along with many others expected a clear and definitive upgrade. I've yet to see that.
  16. The 2021 White Sox are 26-16 with 42 games played. The 2020 White Sox were 27-15 with 42 games played. They reached a record of 33-16 at the 49 game mark as well. Just food for thought.
  17. It's been totally ignored by the LaRussa stans because they don't have an answer for it, instead it's all about Yermin "missing" a sign.
  18. At the end of the day @tray is upset the designated hitter of the White Sox hit a home run when he wasn’t supposed to, according to white men who made up laughable rules that will never appear in a official rule book because of how asinine they are. I take comfort in knowing someone like tray is in the vast, vast minority in feeling that way, and that the sport of baseball is moving away from the embarrassing antics of Tony LaRussa. I, along with many others will be able to enjoy the game of baseball as it continues to advance and change as the culture does, while tray will be slinging venom towards a player that has already done tremendous things for a team he supposedly roots for. Just a sad way to live.
  19. I'm biased because I live in the Chicago media market, but I feel like this reached a much bigger scale than the Tatis stuff.
