  1. They have come out and set expectations that this is a WS season. One player being out shouldn’t stop that goal. If it does, you weren’t a WS contender to start. This is the tough part of the job for Hahn. But he needs to figure this out.
  2. I don't totally disagree. Sometimes when shit hits the fan, you need to be able to react. If Eloy is really this bad in LF (We have confirmed he is) could Vaughn be worse? And does he stand the same chance of hurting himself? Does it screw with him at the plate? I know you don't want to make the kid look like a fool......but I don't know what other options they have....and trading Abreu and Vaughn doesn't seem like it's in the cards, seeing the puff piece USA Today just ran for Vaughn with Kenny quoted...
  3. I agree, if he hits the warning track, just stop dead in your tracks. Same for the foul line. Aside from that, I don't know what else they can do.
  4. Absolutely brutal. No other way around it. Losing Eloy for significant time just kills this entire lineup. And on top of it, the way this team is built, there is no spot for him at DH. I honestly don't know what they do here.
  5. If they get Ball, they may not have a 1st rounder for 2021-2022-2023
  6. End of the day, love them being aggresive.
  7. Yeah, none of that matters. The Sox were entering a rebuild and Adam Eaton, an “above-average” outfielder, was traded for what turned out to be one of the Cy Young favorites of 2021 who’s 26 years olds. I don’t really care what Eaton did in Washington. The Sox, or any team does that trade every day of the week, twice on Sundays.
  8. It was a joke. I would hope no one actually is still wondering if the Sox “won” the Eaton for Giolito trade...
  9. The guy has a 5.93 ERA in his last 210 IP. He has no business logging any type of significant innings for a team looking to compete. None.
  10. So they are totally fine to continue to kick the can down the road.....so much for the rebuild.
  11. The Madrigal one I agree with, he’s taken way too much heat around here. I feel like most are pulling for Collins? And Eaton...I don’t know. In terms of Lopez and Rodon being “on deck”....they both have been fairly terrible in their White Sox careers...especially when you consider where Rodon was drafted.
  12. This team goes as far as Dylan Cease and Dallas Keuchle take them. Those are the two keys for the season, in my opinion.
  13. Eh don’t worry about that, Ace. This is the Bears. They’ll coach him up, it’s called DEVELOPMENT. They’ll get him into Halas, turn him into an NFL QB in short order. Have some faith in these guys........ ????
  14. No no no. And this is what I don’t understand Jason. Hear me out. Let’s go back to Monday. Nick Foles is currently the only “starting QB” on the roster. Almost everyone is in agreement they have to draft a QB in Round 1 or Round 2. So....that’s two QB’s in Foles and the rookie. At that point...there are two ways you can go in my eyes. 1. Trade the farm for Russ or Watson, your draft capital is gone for like 5 years but you have a franchise QB. You get crazy with the cap, do whatever you can do to win in the next 5 years. 2. You can’t acquire an established star QB. At that point, I stick to the plan of drafting a QB in the 2021 Draft, and Nick Foles is my Opening Day starter. It’s very rare these days for QB’s to be drafted in the first round and not play the year they were drafted. Just doesn’t really happen anyone, outside of Love and Mahomes. So if/when Foles goes down, it’s time for Trey Lance or Mac Jones. Additionally, if you are rebuilding, then start taking the cap hits now. Cut Hicks. Cut Fuller. Bottom out. Get a high draft pick this season. Stop picking 18th. Start over. Hit on the QB you are drafting this year and next year draft an LT at No. 5 or something. Build around this new QB. This is why I don’t understand what they are doing. They had to know Fuller and Hicks were going to be cut/traded. Those are not “winning” moves those are “We’re taking a step backwards next year, we need to sort of reset here.” Fine...I’m cool with that. But then why are you “in theory” upgrading your QB position with a 33 year old Andy Dalton when you have a 32 year old Nick Foles on the roster, who’s cap hit is upside down and you can’t cut? Why are you trying to get better at QB and a lot worse on D? What are we doing here?
  15. They knew they were releasing Hicks and Fuller. They HAD to know that. So for the 8,576th time....WHAT ARE YOU SIGNING ANDY DALTON FOR?!?
