  1. People also argued Rodon was actually being replaced by Kopech, so everything was fine. Idiots.
  2. I won't argue that point. Cutting him shouldn't be on the table, for the reasons I gave, among others.
  3. This is a great call. Rick, if you're listening, you should absolutely cut a 27 year old that is owed 42 million over the next two seasons, this will greatly improve the Sox chances of winning a World Series.
  4. Which also works in reverse...it speaks to the value Vaughn has, both to the Marlins...and the White Sox.
  5. I understand where fathom is going with roster balance, filling out holes, getting this team more athletic...don't disagree with that. I also understand Vaughn is a 1B/DH which already lowers his value/impact on the field. Having said that, I don't like using a 24 year old cost-controlled bat to acquire another one. Additionally, Vaughn still has less than 1000 PA's in the ML and has shown a ton of improvement in Year 2. I expect him to continue that climb as he matures, I said last week I think Vaughn can put Mike Sweeney type numbers which would be just fine. I think I'd actually be more inclined to trade Eloy at this point than Vaughn.
  6. This is an incredibly annoying pitching style from Kelly, lol
  7. Josh Harrison is not a replacement for Tim Anderson (the Sox never found a real 2B this offseason, something most of us knew would be an issue) and I would hope a team with World Series aspirations had a little more depth than what they're trotting out.
  8. That's what happens when you're relying on Josh Harrison and Adam Engel in key, stretch run moments.
  9. Here is the way I look at it. At this point, I can’t really see a good reason why you wouldn’t acquire him. I don’t really see the downside.
  10. It's a perfectly rational response. 2 games doesn't change the last 160+ games of .500 baseball, but it's a fairly good start. Good news is we don't have to wait long to see what happens. We'll know a hell of a lot more by Monday of next week.
  11. Yet you say when the Sox are going good it's crickets here, and I've been posting last night and tonight...someone you call negative. So which is it? God forbid any fan question the mighty White Sox, a franchise that has literally had a .500 record as a franchise since 1978.
  12. The gameplan since the ASB break of 21 has been play putrid for 9 innings, so take what we can get.
  13. It's amazing how soft the "ra-ra" crew is. You aren't anywhere to be found when shit gets bad, but when they win a game, you're here to tell everyone the "Sox are back!!!111" Charmin soft
  14. Without question, my favorite greg post of all-time. Hang this in the Louvre.
  15. Amazing how fun baseball can be when a team plays good baseball.
  16. And the frustrating thing is there is actually some truth in the statement. Health has been a huge problem for this team and guys in and out of the lineup will make any team inconsistent. TLR and the staff have conflated things no doubt but if this team was able to lineup Anderson-Robert-Abreu-Eloy-Vaugnh-Moncada-Grandal-Pollock-Harrison every night on a regular basis, they're leading the division by 4-5 games. But....that's still a White Sox problem. Lineup still has holes, bullpen still has holes, Lynn and Gio are issues, etc.
  17. I'm not using hyberoble when I say this thread/stat will be cited by the Sox at some point in the offseason, and how the biggest offseason addition they can make is "health"
