Or really has no respect for himself, seeing as he has said he would basically work for free to play baseball, and someone like Leury Garcia is incredibly lucky to be making what he is making, like the owners are doing him this gigantic favor, yet doesn’t mention the years spent by a player to work on his craft, be able to play multiple positions at the highest level in the sport, etc. To PoppySox, these asshole players should be thanking their lucky stars anyone will pay them! Because after all, when I pay money to go to the ballpark, I’m paying to see Jerry Reinsdorf play against Tom Ricketts, why would I want to see the players?!?

It's fake news bro. I disagree with what these journalists are saying, so it's fake news. Come on bro.

Enjoy the boots!

Simple reading comprehension doesn't make me smart. You said " I would have been happy to play baseball for a living for damn near any amount of pay the owner wanted to give me" You've also gone on a campaign the last two months, defending the owners at every turn. The definition of a boot licker is a "toady, servile follower." Seems about right...
-
The Braves had a $104 million dollar profit in 2021. What else you got?
-
It's why I asked the question. Sounds like you have a pretty large group of boot-lickers there. You guys sound like a hoot!
-
This is so incredibly gross.
-
So, is this all hyperbole or are you and like 8 other 65-year-olds sitting in a basement somewhere, rallying around the owners and calling yourself a group? You're also incredibly mis-infomred about how the general public views players vs. owners.

Your very first post, in a thread titled "Olympics," asks "How can you be motivated to squander any time watching any of this shit, instead of actual competitons, such as the NHL/NBA/NFL/European soccer, or even binge watch something actually good on TV?" You then followed it up with an additional 7 posts over a 10 day period, arguing with multiple posters about how bad the Olympics are for XYZ reasons. So......the obvious question is.....What motivated you to squander so much time on any of this shit, instead of doing literally ANYTHING else with your time?

Yeah, I just hate that he is featured way more on E! than ESPN. Just don’t like that for a lockeroom that seems very tight and focused on the right things. I trust AK at this point, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
-
Gross, I do not like the energy/vibe he brings to this team.

It was a perfectly “fine” episode. Wnd I say that to agree with what you said. It was just kind of there, didn’t leave me wanting more, it was just fine. My biggest issue is there are never any “stakes” with Star Wars because they refuse to kill even somewhat minor characters. If they could have an action figure at some point, they basically have a “I’ll live forever” card and because of that, there is so much less weight behind the conflicts on screen.

And she has totally transformed herself for this role. I really forget it's an actress sometimes watching, which is pretty incredible.

There is a very small post credit scene

I've always said Twitter should give you a 5 minute window to change things, then things are locked.

Everyone has a different situation. Because you didn't have any extra money at that point doesn't mean it shouldn't be taught. In terms of what @Jack Parkman said....It kind of goes without saying I'm not advocating investing every dollar into securities. The average interest rate in a savings account right now is 0.06 percent. Any money that I'm "putting away" isn't going into a SA, it's going into Index Fund ETF or a safe bond.
-
I know my parents taught me to put money into a savings account....which was decent advice when they taught me....but obviously makes zero sense now. Kids need to get educated on compound interest and what can happen if you start investing at 18. Show them those charts about how much money they will have in 30 years if they invest 2500 a year for 30 years at an 8% return. So vital and I feel like it's just not something that is taught correctly. It's hard to get an 18 year to buy into that, or understand....but I guess that's up to the teacher and finding ways to get it to sink in.

Right, but again, LARGE difference between the fans and coaches/players. Most fans are looking at the long-term vision for the team rather than that days game. And I'm OK with that. Fans have 0 impact on outcome.....so if they want their favorite team to lose so they can get that prized No. 1 pick, that makes sense (to me.) A coach and the players on the field are in a totally different category.

That was their objective last night and it sounded like they were on the right path until Rocky went Rocky. (I didn't see any of it, just saw reports that Jaime Faulkner was very impressive.) I'd also ask the question....why are we giving Danny the benefit of the doubt now? This city was tortured by Dollar Bill, Rocky seemed to press all the right buttons up until last night (and who honestly knows at this point what Rocky did or didn't know about the sexual assault cover up.) but now we sort of have seen his true colors.....why are we expecting Danny to be the right Wirtz?
