  1. It was a fair value trade, especially given Madrigal is out for the entire season. Giving the ceilings of both Madrigal and Heuer, along with what the Sox are trying to accomplish in 2021 and 2022.......it was a perfectly reasonable use of assets.
  2. I got a bounce back. What address did you use? ?
  3. 100% don't trust or believe it. Happy to see the results thus far, just don't buy it at all. Prove me wrong, ReyLo.
  4. I honestly don’t know how you are able to take the mound again, ever…after that happens. Just terrifying.
  5. I did an interview with Kevin for Future Sox back in 2010...over AIM. He was very gracious with his time and always appreciated him for that.
  6. Over-confident message board idiot wanted to trade Andrew Vaughn, Dylan Cease and Nick Madrgial for Michael Conforto before the 2021 season. I love this place.
  7. It actually is an even better reason for why they acquired Kimbrel. I don’t blame the FO for him not being great thus far. It was the right move, especially with how Hendricks has been pitching.
  8. It’s obviously a gigantic problem. And to state the absolute obvious…the lineups he’ll be facing in the playoffs aren’t the Royals and Twins. His act has grown incredibly old when he gives up gopher balls every fucking appearance. You want to get mad, Liam? Get mad about your blown saves.
  9. I hate Hendricks here. Not saying TLR has a better option, just don’t like it.
  10. Had shades of the AJ walkoff on WGN wearing the retros in 2005
  11. THis isn't right, Lopez goes today, Lynn is the FoD starter.
  12. That's really what I think this is. Sucks he isn't going tomorrow, but this almost seems like this specific DL trip was always part of the plan.
  13. And that's going to wrap it up for you. Bye bye
  14. The same reason it was a big deal when Cody Parkey missed 4 FG's for the Bears in a regular-season game but the Bears still won. It was an issue that was overshadowed because of an abundance of talent. But that issue came back to bite them at the worst possible time. That's why it's a big deal.
  15. Just an idiot that has access to a keyboard
  16. Playoffs are a long way away but there is no way with a straight face anyone can say Keuchle should start over Lynn-Rodon-Giolito-Cease at this point. Just zero chance.
  17. I see what you're saying and agree for the most part, but I wasn't trying to say you can't criticize the trade, you or anyone else has every right. I guess the question was more to the OP who said they would have expected more from a Madrigal return. In their mind, what should have the return been? What is realistic or reasonable? And were you against them going to get Kimbrell? We now know the cost of Kimbrell. If that was too much in your mind, who else would you have gone after the help improve the team, and what assets were you OK giving up? I think those are fair questions to ask.
  18. It's not....but things are going to get a lot tougher and a lot more expensive if he doesn't.
  19. Let's look at some things: 1. The Sox went out and acquired Ceasar Hernandez for basically nothing. VERY early but so far the results have been promising. And we've talked ad nauseam about how 2B is the easiest position to fill on the diamond. 2. Those "10 innings" could be some of the highest leverage innings in the playoffs. Having the 2021's best RP as your setup man creates a very large advantage for you in those playoffs 3. What should have been the return for Nick Madrigal? And how are they acquiring Kimbrell or another high leverage bullpen arm? What assets are they using?
