I'm not as sold as everyone is that Chris Sale is going to be worth a s*** in the playoffs or in big situations. His woes against the ENTIRE division is ridiculous.

Sale does not look good today. Honestly, his last few starts have not been his normal self, IMO.

Is it bad that I'm more worried about having the game be official with the lead vs them scoring a ton of runs while stretching out the time of this game?

The Sox need another SP, a BP arm & most importantly a LH bat. If you can get a guy like Shields for half of his contract while giving up very little then why not do it? Not the most ideal situation but one move at a time & if a SP is the first add, then why not? Miguel Gonzalez or Mat Latos are fine 5th starters but can't be 4 & 5 in the rotation much longer.

Just have to come back & grab the next 2. Worst case they'll be 1.5 games back & in 2nd. Best case, tied for 2nd .5 game back of first.

3rd place starting tomorrow. Sox need to win the next 2 games.
