  1. Nice to take the lead early. Quintana is looking very good right now, too. Gee looking vulnerable.
  2. I dislike the Royals almost as much as I dislike the Packers & Lions. Taking this series would be great.
  3. Gates comes up just in time to screw with the Sox. Will be glad to see Houston leave.
  4. Man... Altuve is a pest. Love his game but drives me crazy watching him play against the Sox.
  5. I'd like to make sure this is Austin Jackson's only season in a Sox uniform. He's provided stability overall but he's not the same player he was coming up in his younger days.
  6. McHugh is all of the sudden a good pitcher, huh? Almost like Fister was last night.
  7. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 19, 2016 -> 06:04 PM) Our pitcher is actually getting close pitches called strikes. It's a weird feeling. Chris Sale for president. Also, Avila is a much better framer.
  8. Cleveland wins. Lead down to 2.5 games.
  9. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 18, 2016 -> 08:16 PM) Cannot believe that massive division lead is just going to evaporate in a weeks time Could go from evaporating to trailing very soon.
  10. Lindor HR in the 12th. About to be a 2.5 game lead.
  11. The Royals is going to rip this team to shreds this weekend.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2016 -> 08:06 PM) I just don't get how our scouting of MLB players that we bring in via free agency can be so bad I don't understand how a team that was once 13 games over .500 have somehow managed to look so poorly in the past 7 games... 4 in a row now.
  13. How many Sox have watched pitches go right down the middle of the plate?
  14. Get a run, give it back. Wash, rinse & repeat.
  15. Good to see that Jennings can't get the ball across the plate.
  16. ...and Cingrani continues to be a pile of dogs***. Indians tied up.
  17. 3 runs left out there are looming large.
  18. Have to get a hit here... Needed that run that Navarro stopped on.
  19. Also, I'm not pressing the panic button when I question what type of team this is. I think it's a fair question, especially when the only good season this team has had under Ventura has been in his first year when they choked away the lead down the stretch. I've never been confidence in Ventura & frankly after multiple questionable decisions in the last week, I truly wonder who this team really is. It's easy to live off of an extreme start (good or bad) for a certain amount of time but after a while if that hot start fades enough & teams continue to catch them & eventually pass them it's worth asking the "who are they?" question.
  20. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ May 18, 2016 -> 06:07 PM) Is it time to press the panic button? I think it's about time to start wondering who this team really is. Are they the hot start team, the one playing poorly now or somewhere in the middle? The magic of Latos has run out & they aren't playing nearly the same caliber of baseball they were since that letdown in Texas.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ May 18, 2016 -> 02:58 PM) The Be Careful What You Wish For department: we started 23-10, and at .249/.324/.394 and wanted more offense Now we've had a stretch of .272/.343/.433 and yet have gone 1-5 A lot of their success was due to their bullpen, which lately has been horrific, especially Albers. Their starters need to start going deeper into games, especially the back end in Rodon, Latos, & Gonzalez. I think the hitting will stay somewhat consistent, because realistically their two most dangerous hitters (Abreu & Frazier) still aren't hitting nearly at what was expected. I do think it's about that time to start wondering how much of this strong start can be sustained as they move further into the season.
  22. Why is it that the Sox can't steal a base consistently but it seems like every team that runs against them gets the steal?
  23. Tyler White, certified Sox killer. You could see this coming after blowing that last half inning.
