  1. I think it’ll be be ok. I don’t think TLR is great, but he isn’t some supervillain either. More important he’s very cognizant of his legacy, and he’s not stupid. He’s not Bobby Valentine.
  2. That hanging with the hurt song is a straight up banger
  3. If that was your point you didn’t express it very well. And 68th would put them in almost the top third in the world. Not exactly one of the poorest.
  4. Haha yeah that was my thought. The notion that the DR is one of the poorest countries in the world is also very inaccurate.
  5. I appreciate you posting the article, but I’m tired of this game.
  6. 29.1% of SP’s in MLB in 2019 were lefties. That’s 47 games over a full regular season. Probably somewhere around there. so 47-0 with those. Just have to go 53-62 against righties and boom 100 wins.
  7. Anderson Moncada Abreu Jimenez Grandal Robert Vaughn Eaton Madrigal
  8. Psychologically probably isn’t the best feeling, but likely hasn’t made much impact on his life with it being the off-season. With Spring Training approaching hopefully he settles in somewhere, because this is where is can get disruptive.
  9. Sox signed RHP Alejandro Mateo. Minor league filler.
  10. Couldn’t give less of a shit about the game, just happy to see the pride of parkdale doing the halftime show.
  11. If the question starts with “did we go cheap...” and “we” means “white Sox” the answer is “probably”
  12. Blue Jays don’t need a dh. Unless they can convert excess OF into an arm, they’ll be rotating their outfielders. I was hoping to have a similar scenario for the Sox, but isn’t looking likely.
  13. Pirates have a fantastic history, better than ours. But come on man...imagine being a die hard pirates fan right now. Must be torture. I feel for them, that’s all I’m saying.
  14. Being a sox fan feels hard sometimes. Imagine being a pirates fan. Man, gotta feel for those guys. I’m a taillon fan so I’d like to add him to the mix, but as always depends on the cost. He isn’t really what we need right now, which is dependable innings.
  15. I wouldn’t be shocked if he doesn’t have any concrete offers and just conversations.
  16. I worked in the blue Jays front office in 2009. Harry Einbinder had an office to my left. Kevin Briand was across the hall. And, no joke, paul Beeston shared a wall on the right. At no point were the white Sox serious suitors for halladay and blue Jays scouts were bearish on beckham.
  17. I have a hard time believing there’s reachable middle ground on what the brewers want and what the Sox are willing to part with. It’s fun to deliberate in the boring times of the off-season, but let’s get a (realistic) starter and a backup catcher.
